A few weeks of living together passed. Jade growing closer to the group and Enji doing the same. Jade had bonded with them all over separate things but grew the closest to Goken. The two even went to spades games together without the others, beating them easily without telling anyone they even left. Tonight was one of those dreaded nights where Jade and Goken had just randomly disappeared from the small house."They should be back soon if they attended a game" Uta sighed as they all sat in the livingroom impatiently. "Why do they keep doing this.." Shitara grumbled into his hands as he leaned forward on the couch. The group was anxiously waiting for the duo's return, having been through this a good few times now. "They should just tell us they are leaving! At least we know they aren't home" Enji sighed. "It's fine guys, they'll be back soo-" Kyuma was cut off as the front door opened and the hallway filled with talking. The group rushed up and down to the door, seeing Jade and Goken taking off their shoes and talk. "You fucking idiots!" Shitara shouted at them and the two visibly flinched. That's when the group saw the blood staining their earlobes. "What the fuck happened to you?" Uta asked in a quiet tone as to not hurt them further. "Ah the spades game involved a lot of explosions" Goken chuckled and held Jade's arm as they walked inside.
"How many visa days do you have?" Kyuma asked, since the two had entered so many games they had many more than himself. "Uh.. 24?" Jade answered after looking over the cards in her pocket. "I have 15, you two are staying home with me. No more games for us for a while" Shitara said and sat down beside jade, cleaning her small cuts and bruises. "We're the only spades players, you need at least one of us" Goken replied. "Fine, Goken you come with us, Bunny still has a lot of healing injuries" Enji said and he nodded. "Guess you're stuck with me" Shitara smiled at Jade who just closed her eyes and relaxed. The next day they entered another game, leaving Jade and Shitara at home.
"Hey Jade!" Shitara walked into Jade's office where she was sat counting over the cards they had all collected. "What's up?" She asked, not taking her eyes off the paper she was writing on. "Do you play any instruments?" Shitara asked as he sat down on her desk opposite her. "Why do you ask?" She replied, still not looking up at him. "Well I noticed you have a drum set, a keyboard and a few different guitars. I figured you or someone you live with played instruments" he answered. "I do play all of those instruments, used to at least. I wrote songs and stuff when I was bored" she finally looked up at him, leaning back in her chair. "You sing?" He asked with a wide grin. "You don't believe me?" She raised an eyebrow at him with a smirk. "I'm gonna need some proof" he chuckled and she stood up, walking up with him following her tail.
"Here we go, let's see if I remember any of my songs" Jade mumbled as she sat on the couch. She had a white acoustic guitar in her lap with a few gold and red details. Shitara had his own one that was regular brown wood and had a few black details painted on it. "Yeah let's see if you can remember it" Shitara chuckled, watching he]ow her hands moved. Then she started.
Song playing: Curses - The Crane Sisters
"There's a fire in my brain and I'm burning up" she sang and Shitara watched in awe at her voice changed in tone. "Oh my, oh my" she smiled up at Shitara who looked at her hands and then started playing himself, finding the tune and how to fit in with her. The two matched their guitars and continued.
"Keep running for the sink but the well is dry. Oh my, oh my" She sang as he happily played with her. They continued playing so loudly they didn't hear the door opening."Every word I say is kindling. But the smoke clears when you're around" She sang and by then the rest of the group were stood watching from the hallway.
"Won't you stay with me, my darling? When my walls start burning down, down, down?" She let her emotions take over as she sang. Who would have thought this cold jokester of a woman could sing so beautifully? Maki sure as hell didn't, but he was stood staring in awe at this magnificent woman in front of him. Her long brunette white hair flowing as she moved with her voice. Shitara was vibing, having a blast playing with her.
