Bella POV

"And for the hundredth time Austin, violence in is always never the answer!" The faint voice of mom can be heard upstairs, resulting in me getting up. I rubbed my eyes and adored my surroundings. I was home.
This little house in the middle of San Diego is where I grew up and became who I am right now. I barely know everyone here but I can maneuver myself around without getting lost.

Standing, I slowly crept out of my room and saw Austin, along with mom coming up. Austin slammed his door in anger as mom kept on banging at his door. I went completely outside of my room and mom smiled at me mouthing a 'good morning'. I nodded and went down to grab breakfast. I saw dad on the table, reading newspaper while having his brunch. He saw me and he put down his newspaper, despite of whatever he was reading.

"Good morning, dear. The food's ready." He greeted, gesturing to the food I front of me.

I was at the mall, getting ready for my big "change". First, I went to the parlor to get my hair done. Well, I planned about this and I decided to do ombré to my hair. Perfect disguise because I get easily recognized by my brunette hair. Then, to the phone station. And because of my months of hard work, I earned enough money to buy a new phone which was of course, a new iPhone 6. I got in and after a few moments of demo and financial statements, I got it. And the whole change thing wouldn't be complete without clothes. I went to the department store and browsed through an array of clothes, picking ones that I would NEVER wear but seems to fit my taste of fashion. Hours passed and I still can't decide between two crop tops. I thought about it, and made a decision that would satisfy me. I'm not gonna buy any of the crop top. After all that dress-hunting, I got a few (honestly a lot) of clothes and I was also tired. I decided that I should get coffee and go home. So, I got a cab and went to the same Starbucks that I used to go every time.

"Can I have a tall caramel latte to go please?"

"Okay, so name please?" The barista asked.

"Bella." I said as she scribbled down my name on the cup. I handed her my money and gave me back my change.

I waited for my coffee and soon enough, it was done. Hearing my name being called, I stood up and went to get it. I was about to get out when I bumped into a tall and sturdy figure, making me spill my coffee all over the floor and the dude's clothes. I slowly looked up as I apologized and-

"I'm really really sor- J-James? S-sorry about that." I said, looking away.

"B-Bella?? I don't recognize you with that hair. Oh never mind that." He smiled.

I slowly started to move out and away from here but James stopped me and pulled me back, almost spilling my coffee.

"What do you want!? And why are you here?!" I asked aggressively.

"Bella, please. I need to talk to you." I can sense sadness in his voice.

"I don't have time to talk to you. So please, leave me alone."

"I-it will only take a jiffy. Please Bella, this is important."

"No. Nothing's important in your case." I got out of his grip and stormed out of the café. I saw James following me, probably ditching his decision to get coffee just to have this 'important' talk with me. I know what's his deal is. He wants me to forgive him. And maybe probably forget the whole situation and start out new with him. But my pride is too high and I don't wanna be hurt anymore. It's already in our nature that once we get hurt, we try to avoid doing it again 'cause we know what's gonna happen next. And I'm sure as hell I won't do the same mistake again.
