POV: Donnie

It was a normal day in my young life as I looked down at a book about turtles and saw it.

"Red Eared sliders are commonly cannibals" the page said. This was Leo's species of turtle and I had read this same passage over and over again hoping it would change. Leo was one of my three brothers that I had decided to research. I wish I could forget my findings. Me and two of my brothers had cannibalistic tendencies according to this book but the idea of eating turtle or human disturbed me deeply. I think the part that scares me the most is that mikey the youngest is the most eaten type of turtle. I have a theory that the mutation got rid of my cannibalistic DNA but I wasn't too sure of my brothers. I stood up with my nine year old legs wobbling from the sudden motion. I walked into the main room to find Leo and Mikey skateboarding and Ralph hitting a punching bag.

"Hay guys will you take a quick test for me" I asked

"Is it hard?" Leo asked, walking over.

"No it's to test what happens in mutation" I answered

"Sure we will Don!" Ralph exclaimed, running over with Mikey.

"I just need you two," I said, pointing to Ralph and leo.

'Why can't I take it?' Mikey asks, crossing his arms.

"Because you're a box turtle" I answered, turning toward my lab. We walked in and I had them go to different areas of the room and wear headphones. About five minutes in Leo was done. He handed in his test and ran out to the main room. A minute later Ralph finished but instead of running out he started to ask questions.

"Why the weird test? And what does question 16. For?" he asked

"I'll explain it to you, I swear but I have a test to grade," I said heading to my desk.

As Ralph left I began to read them. The higher the score the less the mutation helped.

Mikey. (N/A)

I sat there shocked at Leo's score. He stood out like fire in the ocean. His number was so scary I could only fear the worst...
