POV: Ralph

I think I was a little over dramatic. Now at fourteen and a half I realize that Leo can change. He still never to be my brother can be a friend or atleast a person. Lately I have been taking Leo out on little trips till this one came along. I will confess what happens is my fault. I may not fully trust Leo but when he said run I shouldn't have argued. But I will tell you the story of the night of the roof tops. Leo had told me of some of the battles he had in the nexus especially with the magic katanas. When I had suggested the idea of stealing it he was all in. We geared up and left as the sun set. As the sun disappeared, it broke in. The whole stealing thing was easy, it was the way back that was hard.

"Can you teleport us home?" I asked as we ran.

"Sorry I may be good but not that good" he answered.

"Welp that's ok" I said, jumping to the next roof. After a bit he stopped.

"What are you doing?" I asked, walking over. The night was now cold and stopping was like walking into a freezer. The clouds above began to sprinkle.

"I-I think you should g-go" he stuttered.

"No, we're going home before we get frostbite," I said, grabbing his arm. He closed his tight pulling away.

"Run!" he screamed, holding his hands over his mouth.

"Leo just-" I was cut off by a loud screech and a sharp pain in my shoulder. I screamed from the pain as we began to fight. He would bite on to a part of open skin as I tried to pull him off. This went on for about ten minutes. I tried to just pull him off until he broke my arm tearing off the hand. I wiped the stub of a hand flinging Leo off. He flew into the building next to us falling into the alleyway with a crack and a bang. I'm sure he has to be dead. As bad as I wanted to check my eyes heaved. The last thing I saw was the flash of the panic button.

The next thing I saw was Donnie's face over me.

"Wheres Leo?" he asked, looking concerned.

"Alleyway" I croaked out. Then my eyes closed again, opening to my warm bed. Bandages covered me like a mummy. I looked around to see Leo fully covered in Bandages and  . A heart monitor with Donnies name carved into it told me Leo's heart was stable. I sighed, Leo didn't die to my mistakes.

"What happened?" Donnie asked, walking in.

"I-I messed up" I said feeling a pang of guilt

"No shit sherlock. How did you mess up?" Donnie said with no remorse.

"It's a long story"

"We have all our life," he said sitting down next to the bed. I began to explain the entire mess.

When I finished Donnie left the room while saying.

"Well karma took that hand of yours"

Over the next couple weeks I healed to almost full health while Leo woke up for the first time in weeks. He slowly healed till started to joke again.

"What's the difference between a snow man and a snow woman?" he asked smirking.

"What?"

"Snow balls!" he said laughing. In that moment I just changed the term brothers meaning but never changed how I saw Leo. he was the one brother who could go through hell and back and still laugh.

"Was it that bad?" he asked, laughing more at the tears flowing down my face.

"No! That's not why-" but before I could finish he hugged me.

"I know i'm all laughing usually but so so so sorry and I don't think I could live without you here to be my older brother." he said pulling away. I smiled.

"You always be my little brother." I looked past him to see Donnie looking over with what I took as jealousy in his face. Once he notices he walks away. I looked at Leo.

"Tell me another joke" I said as his eval smirk crossed his face.

"I took a color blind test... the answer came out of the purple!" he said.

"That's pretty bad," I said laughing. We talked like this for a while, reconnecting where we had failed before.
