Some of the info in this chapter is not entirely true. I would research it yourself. I love you all

POV: April

I never got the call back. Instead about a month later I realized how long it had been. I pulled out my phone and texted Leo a hello and waited for a response. When It took three days for the message to be read I decided to come over.

"Leo! Donnie! Are any of you home!" I shouted into the darkness.

"Three dead!" I heard a raged voice shout back.

"Leo is that you?" I whispered, not really ready to accept this.

"I'm sorry I'm sorry I'm sorry" he repeated over and over again till I reached him.

"Hey buddy, what happened?" I asked entering the lair to find Leo in a ball on the floor. He kept repeating apologies over and over. He shook as if cold and rocked back and forth.

"Leo!" I said, shaking him. He just retorted with more apologies. I tried to drag him into the light, but as I started, he screeched like an injured animal and bit my arm. I fell back into the light of the room. A row of distressed teeth marks staining red on my forearm.

"Leo, what the heck is wrong with you!" I shouted into the darkness where he lay. As I did, the repetitive apologies began yet again. I sighed, and eventually decided to find bandages. As I opened the door to Donnie's lair, I saw the broken fragments of bone scattered across the floor. I grabbed a piece of gauze and hastily ran out of the room as fast as I could. As I walked back to Leo's apologies I wrapped the wound. I stopped at the edge of the light.

"Leo what happened?" I asked.

"No," he said, turning his back to me.

"Leo I can help just tell me where Donnie is and we can find Raph-" I began, desperate.

"No!" Leo shouted, then began the now tiresum string of apologies. I sighed before making my plan. I need a way to get him in the light so I can see if he's hurt. But then it hit me, I ran off and scrambled to grab one of the sheets left from a pillow fort we never began. I threw it to Leo as if a net, trapping the testudine in question in it. He obviously struggled, yelling and screaming like I had murdered his brothers till I set him free. After spending some minutes dragging him to his room I hesitated before locking him in, feeling slight regret as the turtle screamed once more. I know Donnie has cameras in Leo's room, he has some in all of their rooms. I opened the mechanic door to the lab just to be assaulted with a smell so horrible I practically threw up on the spot. The rotten chunks of what I believed to be a turtle covered the walls like a twisted painting telling a story of only sorrow and pain. Bone layered the floor like the leaves in a forest in the middle of fall. The worst /worest/ part of the twisted museum was the eyes of ..something.. propped up looking at me as If I had killed them, were those his brothers? I ran out, adrenaline and fear running through me like a knife to butter. I slowly opened the door to Leo's room.

"You saw it didn't you?" he asked, hiding under a blood splattered blanket.

"Y-yes" I studered. I grabbed the edge of the blanket

"Please just let me see if you're ok" I asked, trying to get the reached sight out of memory. He finally let me see him. He was covered in blood stains.some his and some not. Cuts ran up his arms and down his legs. He had clearly made these marks. His mouth was covered in the dried up stuff. Bruises were all over him like he was some sort of painting. His eyes had a white film over them as if he were blind.

"Can you see me?" I asked, waving my hand in front of his eyes.

"I can see you outline but ever since I burned my eyes it's hard to know what's what." he responded calmly.

"Why would you-" I began.

"You saw the room didn't you?" he said, cutting me off. I paused thinking about the situation.

"Why don't you take a bath?" I said, grabbing his arm. He did not resist. I grabbed all the stuff he would need. I turned on the bath for him and left to find Splinter.
