Code Lyoko: Omega

Chapter Fourteen - New Enemies

After their encounter with Fenrir and Shadow Fist, Omega and the Lyoko Warriors began discussing what happened at Lyoko. 

Odd: Okay, what the hell was that back there?! We got our asses kicked!

Ulrich: I hate to say it, but Odd's right. Whatever those guys were, they had our number. 

As Ulrich said this, Omega took a moment to reflect on what had happened. She could still remember being cornered by Fenrir. 

Jeremy: Whatever those guys are, they're clearly not friendly. Their stats were clearly off the charts. 

Aelita: Are you sure it wasn't XANA at work? 

Jeremy: I found no trace of XANA's signature in any of those....Shadow Fist commandos. As for their leader, it was clear that they were after the Supercomputer. 

Odd: So let me get this straight. Not only do we have to deal with a resurgent XANA, but we also got some secret black ops digital commandos after the Supercomputer? 

Jeremy: That's....more or less the situation. 

As the situation dawned on the Lyoko Warriors, it was clear that the threat posed by Shadow Fist was just as prevalent as the threat of XANA. 

Omega: Their leader....Fenrir. I....I think he knows me.

Jeremy: Are you sure? 

Omega: When he had me cornered, he...he seemed surprised that I was on Lyoko. He also said this his boss was interested if he found out that I was on Lyoko. 

Upon hearing this, the Lyoko Warriors took a moment to reflect on the information that Omega had informed them of. After a moment of silence, Odd speaks up.

Odd: Just when you thought Omega didn't have any more surprises....

This comment earns Odd a smack on the back of the head from Yumi. 

Odd: Okay.....low blow.....

Yumi: Sorry, Omega. Odd tends to speak before he thinks. 

Omega: It's...it's quite alright. I just....I just don't understand why I'm connected to all this. 

Jeremy: Whatever links you to all this, we'll find the answers. But we'll have to be real careful, both in Lyoko and the real world. 

Ulrich: Yeah. Something tells me those Shadow Fist guys really mean business when they said they'd come knocking on our doors. 

Omega: I....I don't understand why I'm connected to all of this, but I swear that I'll help you solve this mystery. I'll help you anyway I can, whether it be XANA or Shadow Fist. I won't let anyone stop us!

With that, Omega made it clear that despite her newfound connection to Shadow Fist. With a new enemy revealed, the Lyoko Warriors now had to be even more careful in their battle against XANA. Meanwhile in the compound, Fenrir and the Shadow Fist Commandos exited out of the Scanners. As Fenrir exited the scanner, he looked out to the other members of the Shadow Fist. It wasn't long before the mysterious man entered the Scanner Room. 

???: I must say, I am impressed, Fenrir. You and your Shadow Fist have surpassed all expectations. 

Fenrir: I told you my men were more than capable of handling themselves on Lyoko. 

???: Indeed you have, Fenrir. And to think that I doubted you even for a minute. Now that we have access to Lyoko, we can now harness it's power to move forward with our plans. 

Fenrir: We encountered another group on Lyoko. A group of kids by the looks of it. 

???: I saw. It seems that these children were the ones fighting XANA. Such a bold undertaking for someone so young. 

Fenrir: That's not it, sir. One of the kids I encountered....she looked familiar. 

Upon hearing this, the man's interest grew. Fenrir then shows the man footage of Omega. Upon seeing Omega, the man immediately became interested. 

???: Omega.....after all this time.....

Fenrir: It seems she's in league with those children. I could have my men track down Omega and the group she's with. We'll have their location tracked and we'll move in immediately. 

???: That won't be necessary, Fenrir. While the presence of Omega....complicates things, there's no need to rush to such....drastic measures. Let the children be for now. I have a man working on tracking them as we speak. If they interfere with our efforts on Lyoko before then, then they shall be dealt with accordingly. We are in a....delicate part of our operation. We have only scratched the surface of Lyoko. With the door open to us, we now have the means to tap into the full potential. Dr. Schaeffer gave us the way to Lyoko. Now we will unlock it's full potential. That will be all for now, Fenrir. I will have orders for you and your men soon enough.

Fenrir: Understood, sir. 

With that, Fenrir and Shadow Fist exited the Scanner Room. The man takes a moment to collect his thoughts. The revelation that Omega was active in Lyoko sparked the man's interest. 

???: Omega.....

After a moment to collect his thoughts, the man picks up his phone and calls Grigory.

???: How fares your mission, Mr. Nictapolus?

Grigory(Phone): I picked up one of those anomalies you were going on about, but it went away before the satellites could track it. 

???: How unfortunate, Mr. Nictapolus. But I suppose it can't be helped. Continue to monitor for anomalies. Once you track the source of these anomalies, contact me immediately, understood, Mr. Nictapolus?

Grigory(Phone): Whatever you say. 

With that, the man ends the call with Grigory. In that moment, everything began falling into place for the man. With Lyoko now open to him, the man could move forward with his plans, whatever they may be.
