It was levi. Levi let go of his hand, pausing to brush back his hazelnut, which was turning gold in the afternoon sun.

"Hey! Micah, right?" He asked. When Micah nodded he continued.

"I remember you. I've seen you around, you're the one who's always drawing. So anyways, you wanna come to my house? I know we have like, three weeks, but still."

"I-"Micah started. He pulled himself together, enough to answer.

"Yeah, that works. Uhm, now?"

"Well yeah, I guess now, 'cause I have my car." Levi said.

"Yeah ok, I just have to tell my moms, I'll be right there." Micah replied, sighing.

"Ok, I'll be out front!" Levi turned smiling, and walked toward his car.

Micah slid down the trunk of a nearby tree and took out his phone. Taking a deep breath he opened his contacts and told his mothers he'ds be home late.

"Ok, let's go." He said to himself. Micah stood up and walked to the parking lot. Levi was sitting in his dark blue convertible. When he saw Micah he waved, then leaned over and opened the passenger door.

"You ready Sweetheart?" Levi said with a smile.

"What?" Micah's eyes widened and he blushed.

Levi started laughing. "I'm just kidding! Chill."

"Yah, I'm ready..." Micah said as he slid into the passenger seat pouting.

"Oh stop pouting. We're almost there, my house isn't that far."Levi said, raking his hand through his hair and pushing it back.

The project that Ms. Trunbull had assigned was relatively easy. They had to pick someone who had played an important role in the town. Be it now, or years before.

They had to complete a poster with drawn art and a picture, as well as a short essay about who this person was/is, when they lived, and why they were important.

"We can figure out who to do our project about when we get there." Levi said, checking his phone quickly then looking up at the road. He slowed down, turning into a driveway on their right. Gravel crunched under the tires of the convertible, as they drove up the U-shaped driveway.

"Of course you live in the biggest house on the street." Micah said.

"What's that supposed to mean?" Levi said, looking slightly wounded.

"Well, I don't know, it just seems so fitting. Like, you're cute, rich, and smart. How is that fair?" Micah said, raising an eyebrow.

"Wait, so, you think I'm cute, huh? Hm." Levi turned off the engine smiling.

"Well...I didn't mean it like that!" Micah practically yelled.

"I know." Levi said.

"You know?"

"I know I'm cute." Levi said smugly. Micah gave him a hairy stare.
