Micah ran up the driveway to Levi's front door. It was Saturday, his birthday. Micah pushed the doorbell and stood there waiting lightly bouncing in place. When Levi finally opened the door, Micah pounced, hugging the other boy tightly.
"You're excited. I wonder what it could be..." Levi said, running his fingers through his hair with a thoughtful face.
"What? Really?" Micah asked giving Levi an accusatory look.
"Just kidding! Happy birthday!" Levi said, picking Micah up and twirling him around. "Also I have something planned, because whatever you had planned, this is better."
"Hmm, suspicious. Where are we going?" Micah giggled after Levi had set him back down.
"That, is confidential."
"What? So mean!" Micah replied pouting.
"Are you coming? I wanna show you your surprise!"
"No. I think I should stay here until you tell me." Micah said with a smug look.
"Alright, have it your way." Levi said before picking Micah up bridal style.
"Ack! Put me down!!"
Micah started squirming in Levi's arms, but he couldn't escape his grip. Levi was on the football team, and was consequently "buff".
"I give up. I surrender." Micah said with a sigh. He went more or less limp in Levi's arms before he was deposited in Levi's car.
