 CHAPTER SIX- That Changes Things

“Brian! Guess what!!” Lauren said, drawled out in a teasing tone as she bounced and wrapped her arms around Brian’s neck.

“What?” He said with a smirk on his lips; he would be lying if he wasn’t taking pleasure in this situation.

She leaned up to whisper in his ear when she coughed and backed up. “Geez B-Hole. Did you pre-game enough?” She said blatantly, obviously taken aback by the smell on his breath. Her hand covered her nose as a tiny giggle peeked out; even with the alcohol tinted breath he was attractive.

“Joey wanted to talk to me so we pre-gamed.” Brian said shrugging, and took Lauren by the waist before pulling her close. “You look really hot.” He muttered into her ear as she giggled even more. He knew that he could get away with it, especially with Joey not here yet,

“You can’t be drunk yet!” She said skeptically and pushed him away with her hand, her cheeks getting rather flushed despite the lack of alcohol in her little body.

“Who said I was?” A mischievous smile flashed across Brian’s face as he took a seat, pulling Lauren close to him as if they were together. “Joey’s the only one left?” He asked, scanning through the group of people and evaluating the situation.

A nod came from everyone but like always, Matt Lang was the one to answer answered. “Yes, and right now we can all agree that Brosenthal is in the lead.” He waited for the small laugh from people before continuing. “He sang One Day More-by himself. I know it doesn’t sound funny, but he ended every sentence with poop. It was pretty friggin hilarious.” Matt agreed, and gave a proud looking Brosenthal a pat on the back.

Then Joey wandered in making about as many puns about LeakyCon as possible, most of which were either terrible, or terribly inappropriate. Brosenthal was marked the winner and they all could start the party. Joey sent some suspicious looks towards Brian and Lauren, but Brian ignored all of them. Everyone filled a glass and toasted to the last Harry Potter musical, the convention, Team starkid…basically everything under the sun. Needless to say, they were drunk pretty quickly. “Truth or Dare!” Shrieked an incredibly wasted Lauren from atop Brian’s lap; how she got there no one was sure, but Brian wrapped his arms around her waist none the less. After a drunken agreement everyone took another shot for good measure and decided that Lauren should ask first, since she suggested the game.

Even with alcohol dizzying everyone’s brains there was a tension in the air. Truth or Dare never went over well with starkid, and more than one fight had occurred because of it. One time Darren got punched for catching the eye of Eric’s girlfriend, even though Darren hadn’t really been flirting with her, he still found that it was his fault. Man, was that a mess to clean up. “Joe Walker!” She slurred, a stupid grin on her face. “When did you lose your virginity?” She said. Some of the less drunk people in the room rolled their eyes light heartedly; we had already asked this in a prior game but apparently Lauren wasn’t one to remember well.

“Seventeen, a senior took me to prom. Damn she was hot.” He said proudly, and Joe Moses gave him a congratulatory pat on the back before Tessa glared at him and he stopped. Some people were about to correct Lauren in saying that she actually had to specify whether the person wanted a truth or dare, but didn’t bother. Joe Walker thought for a moment before he looked straight at Joey. “Truth or dare?” He said roughly, downing another beer.

“Truth.” Joey replied after a moment and a collective groan came from everyone; dares were always more interesting.

“Who would you hook up with in this room, not counting your girlfriend?” Joe Walker added in a rushed voice, seeing him look straight at Jaime who had blushed. Joey, who was notorious for never taking any game or not-game seriously, smiled back at Joe.

“Why of course you; you hunk of man-candy.” He said in an abrasive voice and leaned over to him, pretending to make out. Brian laughed; if there was one thing they learned while at University of Michigan, it was pretend making out…or real making out. Sometimes the line between was very thin. They broke apart and a few of the girls cat called before Joey looked at Brian. “Truth or truth.”

“Dare.” Brian replied, not missing a beat. He knew that Joey wanted to know if anything happened last night between him and Lauren and he knew he couldn’t tell anyone.

But Joey didn’t miss a beat either, obviously having planned if this happened. “Kiss the last girl you kissed.” Brian stared blankly at Joey, too drunk to think of mean names to call him at the moment. The group leaned in a little seeing the stumped look on Brian’s face. They all knew he was contemplating whether to lie or not, but the question was, why would he have to lie? Brian didn’t want the whole group to know that him and Lauren kissed. Brian was lost in his own thoughts when Lauren turned around and kissed him full on the mouth, making up his decision for him. He smiled into the sweet taste of her lips and pulled her closer, and he would’ve gone farther if not most of the people in the room cleared their throats in an annoyed fashion.

“Blame Joey for asking.” Brian shrugged, as he saw everyone looking at them, Lauren, who was still on Brian’s lap, just bounced and giggled. And from that dare everything vamped up. Denise was dared to have imaginary phone sex with Jeff, Lauren told everyone in detail the last period she had. Dylan had to put a tampon up his butthole (that by far seemed the most painful out of all of them) and Alle had to send nudes to some fan who had been stalking her throughout the week. Let’s say for publicity reasons that everything that happened last night was legal.

It was hours later and Joey and Jaime were making out in the corner, half of the Team was passed out around the room and everyone else had subsided into their own conversations. Brian stood up shakily, ready to go back to his room before anyone threw up on him. He also had some things to take care of which were an unfortunate side effect of having Lauren kiss him again. “Going already?” Lauren popped up from behind him, making him jump. Lauren always appeared from nowhere.

“Yeah… I’m gonna go back to my room.” Brian said, his eyes on Lauren’s hand, which was resting on his chest. She was so drunk it was insane, her other hand swung over his shoulder, and rested on the back of his neck, leaving a tingling sensation throughout Brian’s body.

Her lip pouted out as she stepped closer to him, so that their bodies were against each other. “That’s too bad; I was hoping we could continue from that kiss earlier.” She said seductively, now biting her bottom lip.

A short gasp came from as Lauren slid a leg in between his and he stumbled backwards. “Lauren you have a boyfriend, I-I can’t.” He said, regretting every word coming out of his mouth.

“No I don’t.” She said simply, staring at him like he was silly.

“But…what? Darren?” Brian said, trying to put the pieces together.

“I broke up with him before the party.” She slurred, and aimed a grin at Brian, acting as if everyone already knew that they had broken up.

“Well in that case…” Brian said, at a loss of words to what to say. It seemed to good to be true. The girl of his dreams had broken up with her boyfriend and wanted to get with him. It seemed that the only sane thing to do was to pull her into a very long kiss.
