Julie
I returned to the room with Jaqueline. She had promised, her and the other girls would do their best, to include, as much as they could. For that, I was thankful, as a non-french speaker.
We returned and the other girls scooped together, so there would be room for me. I sat next to Jaqueline, and the conversation began again; this time in English."So, uh.. Julie!" The french pronounation of my name was said and I payed my attention to a young girl, sitting across from us.
"How come you not, uh.. French speaking?" she asked, trying her best.
"I'm born English, but my father is a diplomat. I've lived in many countries, but for now, we live here in France." I answered her, and smiled.
"Ah! That is-a, uh.. Manifigue!"
I nodded."So, did you hear Charlotte today?" Jaqueline then asked me. I nodded.
"I'm surprised she's been here for so long. I must say... She was rude!" I said, giving Jaqueline a questioning look."She is the daughter of the manager. Well, half-daughter, two families together, you know," Jaqueline explained, and then I understood, how this young woman, had acted the way that she had.
Charlotte was what you would call the opera's Primadonna. An amazing singer, born to stand on a stage, but to be out in the puplic? That she was not meant to do. You could say, she had just grown up spoiled, which had 'ruined her'. She was rude, and not afraid to throw a tantrum.
Today, there had been some problems with her new voice-teacher. According to her, there was no more she could learn, which her teacher had disagreed to. A nice way of saying it, she freaked. Threw her musicsheets everywhere, threatening to have her father fire the poor man. She had stormed out, straight to her fathers office, where she had stayed the rest of the night."She is a wonderful singer! But... You can always learn," I told Jaqueline, and smiled at her. "I have to work on the Bach. You can continue without me," I got up, and returned to my bed, where I continued with my study of my Bach suite.
