"I've got it," Brandon said, stopping the driver from opening Cerise's car door so he could do it himself. He'd sent a black truck to pick her up from her condo downtown like a chariot, arriving at the air hanger right on time to catch their red eye flight.
"Ms. Harvey," Brandon greeted, raising his voice to be heard over the loud engine turbines of the jet as he opened and held her car door for her.
"Mr. Valentino," Cerise answered with a smile, gracefully sliding out of the backseat and out of the truck whilst the powerful jet engines tossed her short brown tresses every which way— strands of hair getting stuck in the thin layer of Dior lip oil that coated her plump lips.
Cerise couldn't help but have this giddy excited feeling. She'd never experienced life outside of New York— ever. Her parents often went on holiday together when she were younger but never brought her along because she was being groomed to prioritize hard work and academics— only after she had become successful that she would have the freedom to take trips like her parents.
"I didn't know what to pack so I brought a little of everything," She smiled innocently, turning around briefly just as her driver began struggling with getting the heavy, over stuffed suitcase from the trunk.
Brandon followed her direction letting out a small chuckle. It looked like she'd packed to be gone for a week and they'd only be gone for two days as they were scheduled for a calendar call in court on Monday in which they needed to be in attendance for.
"Can I tell you something?" Cerise asked as they got seated in their seats directly across from one another.
She kicked off her Ugg slippers and pulled her feet up onto the buttery leather seat, clad in a sweatsuit as she planned on sleeping the duration of the flight to be well-rested for when they landed at their destination— wherever they were going. Brandon had still yet to tell where they'd be flying to and she didn't ask because she loves surprises. Surprises are best when they're from someone you trust, and though the two have only known one another for a little over a month, she trusted him.
Cerise could hardly sleep last night after talking herself into actually going— thinking about where they could possibly be going and what was going to happen. She hadn't told anyone that she was going on a trip, let alone with a man— not her parents nor her very best friends. She felt like she were sneaking off and running away and it added to the excitement and thrill of the adventure.
"Yes," Brandon answered, looking up from buckling his seatbelt to where she sat directly across the isle from him.
Brandon himself was dressed in an Amiri sweatsuit. It seemed as if her relaxed sense of style was finally begging to rub off on him. If it weren't for Cerise being a label whore herself she probably wouldn't have recognized the expensive fabric clothing his body. It was refreshing to see him dress leisurely and not in his normal day to day business attire though he rarely left his penthouse that overlooked the concrete jungle.
