The bright pink halls burn my eyes as I walk down them. I'm just glad I got accepted to this high school again. Trying to find a quiet library to read in if everyone is in there is impossible. Ouron Academy is one of those schools where rich people go. I was lucky to get in because my family isn't that rich, but we have enough to keep a roof over my head and food on the table. Anyways, I still need to find a quiet place to read. At least one more room, then I'll give up.
The abandoned music room. That's where the Host Club are. I've been there once but regretted it in the end. I broke my leg there when that crazy chick, I can't think of her name now, that runs the host club came up from the ground. Personally, I'm not sure where the school got the money to get that. I doubt it will happen again, so I guess it's worth a try.
I slowly turn the knob, open the door and step in. The first thing I see is Tamaki sitting in the corner, tearing paper. Then they all look at me. Well, except for Kyoya. He just continues reading his book that he always has. After about 3 seconds of staring, Honey-sempai comes charging at me.
"Yuki-chan!" he jumps onto me, his arms around my neck, pulling my head down. Hikaru and Kaoru came over, too.
"Hey, Yuki." said Hikaru.
"Long time, no see." says Kaoru. They both put their arms around me. Mori took Honey off me. I smile at him and gave a small wave. In return, I get an emotionless stare.
"Hey, Hikaru and Kaoru. How's the club holding up?" I say.
"It's been doing great, Yuki! Thanks for asking. And you are looking as fantabulous as ever." he exclaims. "So, what brings you here? The club hasn't even opened yet."
"I was just looking for a place to read. I came in to ask if I could read in here?" Tamaki smiled, gives me a nod, and I sit down on the nearest couch. After about 3 chapters of my book, Hikaru and Kaoru sit on each side of me. I look up and stare forward, finding Honey staring at me. I smile at him and pat his head. Mori is close by. Haruhi and Kyoya are still getting things ready for the girls, but the rest of the Host Club are watching me read.
"What're you reading, Yuki-chan?" asks Honey. I look down at my book, then at Tamaki, then back at Honey. I've always had a crush on Tamaki, but he never notices when I try to flirt. I'm not surprised, honestly. He is so full of himself that he doesn't notice that people, other than the boy-crazy guests, actually like him for who he is on the inside. Not just his physical appearance and charm.
"Well, it's about a girl and a rich boy. She likes him, but he never notices her. So, she plans on asking him to this very important dance that is coming up." That's definitely not what it's about. that was just to get Tamaki's attention. It obviously doesn't work because he stands up and leaves. The book is actually about a boy who is always locked up in his attic. They live in a two child society and he's a third. He's never aloud to leave his home... ever.
"Sound interesting. D'you find it in one of our libraries?" asked Hikaru. I nod at him.
"Yeah, it seemed like a good book. I'm not very far into it, but I like it." I continue reading to see if they'll leave, but they kept on staring at me. After another chapter, they finally left, except for Honey and Mori. I look up at Honey, and smile. He smiles his cute smile back at me.
"Are you going to stay until the Host Club is open? It would be nice if you actually visited us while we're open. You going to request me? Huh? Huh?" I can tell he was getting excited because he started hugging his bunny even tighter. But before I had the chance to answer, Mori piped in.
"Leave her be, Mitskuni. We are about to open anyways. You should get ready." he said flatly. Honey looks at me, then back at Mori. He get sup, and runs over to the couch on the far left. The moment Kyoya said that the Host Club was open, Tamaki came and sat next to me.
"Oh, is this where you talk to the girls? Sorry, Tamaki." I can feel myself blush, but he doesn't seem to notice. I start gathering my things, but before I could put my book away, Tamaki lifts my chin with his index finger.
"Yuki, darling. Do you really have to go? Maybe stay for some tea." says Tamaki, getting closer to me. I can feel my face grow hotter than ever. He doesn't mean it. The Host Club is opened and he puts on an act every time. Tamaki, once again, has every girl fooled.
"I would love to, but I need to get going. See ya, guys." I get up and Honey gives me one more hug. I leave. I didn't do much reading but at least I got four chapters in. I just can't seem to forget what he said to me back there. Doubt fills my body. Obviously he doesn't like me more than just a friend. He can't anyways. Having a girlfriend and flirting with other girls for a Host Club? Wouldn't work out at all. Guess it was just me being... well... me I smile. I'm definitely going back tomorrow.
