Have you ever had that feeling where you fall asleep and you're dreaming the best dream and you never want to wake up?

I haven't had that feeling since I was 16 years old. Long story short my parents were wonderful people but even wonderful people have their flaws. My father liked to gamble a lot and my mother was quite known for selling potions from a huge variety wich was illegal if you weren't an authorized witch with a coven.

We were a family of lone wolves without a pack trying to make our way in our supernatural world. Being what we were meant that we got the lowest of the lowest from everyone we crossed paths with. That was one of the reasons my mother was selling potions. We were just barely getting by after we were kicked out of our pack when I was 16, the same year when I lost my ability to have peaceful nights of sleep.

When I was 16 we got kicked out of the pack because my father gambled away a lot of the packs money. We were thrown out without any remorse and had to find a place to stay the night.

We walked through the woods but didn't realize we were already on another pack's territory and they're soldiers attacked us as soon as we stepped foot in their boundaries.

They knocked me out with a hard blow to the back of my head and we were on our way to their alpha most likely because they haven't killed us yet. I didn't know the neighboring packs that well to know who's pack territory we were on. I just hoped it wasn't Zeno's pack.

I woke up when a cold water was thrown in my face making me shiver for the first few seconds until my body warmed itself.
I looked beside me to find my parents both with frightened looks on their faces.

In front of us stood  no one other than Alpha Zeno. My face drained at the thought of what he could do to us. He wasn't exactly a nice wolf and when he gave out punishments they were harsh and I think that as Omegas on his land the punishment might just be unbearable.

"Who are you?" I looked up into his eyes noticing he was looking at my father.

"We're s-so sorry a-alpha we didn't mean to step foot on your land it's just that we were sent away and-," he stopped talking probably thinking what I was thinking.

Most of the time you can smell a wolfs status but it's hard if they're new to the role. Most alphas like Zeno have a strong scent that screams dominance. His Beta on the other hand has a slightly different scent. He still demands power but not as much. Us Omegas on the other hand have the real problem. To most wolves we would smell like dirt or rotten fruit that belongs in the trash.

If we're lucky he doesn't know about our new statutes and just thinks we stink from being in the woods for so long. "Sent away is it. We're you maybe sent away to spy on someone? Let's say just for fun that you didn't just wander into our pack grounds by accident." His smile widened and his canines gleamed in the dim light of the room we were in.

"What are you insinuating alpha?" My father knew exactly what he meant but to keep us safe he played dumb.

He bent down to be at eye level with my father and the impatience was clear on his face as he started to snarl.

"Don't play with me you wolf scum! I know that you were sent here to spy on us. It's not a coincidence that you just show up on the very day that I gained control of Ulïg Ragonov!"

I snickered softly at the name. What kind of warlock names himself Ulïg? It was probably one of those made up names. I might have laughed to loud because the next moment I was on the ground with a very angry alpha hovering above me with his teeth mere inches from my face.

I closed my eyes not wanting to see my own death nor the ugly face of the man that would kill me.

I could hear the pleas of my parents begging him to let me go, but I guess that just sparked his interest more. After all I was a young girl with long brown and hazel eyes. I held in a breath as time ticked on not wanting to get my death over with it.
