"Cassius calm down son." Cassius was frantically walking around back and forth. He kept looking at me and couldn't tear his eyes away, and my father tried calming him down but it didn't seem te work much. I knew my eyes were still red but it bothered me to know how careless I was.

Everything was fine for five years with the pills and then just because I find out new information about my life I forget all my responsibilities. If what happened in the dream actually happened then it means the necromancer was really threatening my family. The deaths that occurred when I was dreaming were bad but at least I knew I was asleep most of the time.

If my father or mother had to experience any of that pain in real life I would never be able to forgive myself for getting them into that kind of situation.

"What the hell is she!?" I looked up into his eyes as he started to freak out even more about the whole situation. I rolled my eyes and tried standing up but my nerves felt almost frozen. I saw Cassius flinch and realized his movements were stick like.

It feels like being frozen.

I know he's feeling the same as I am and yet I don't know why this dream in particular was so different from the rest. My father left my side and went to Cassius to take a short walk and clear his mind. My mother was behind me and gave me a warm hug and and stayed there probably trying to help me get my temperature up.

"Sweetie why did you forget to take the pill?" She rubbed my back soothingly but I know she was angry. I was almost 21 years old and my mother still has this kind of hold on me.

"If you didn't notice, the reason is currently walking with dad. His familiar came out of nowhere and in his condition you should be glad I showed up when I did." I signed deeply trying to gather my thoughts on how to explain to my mother what just happened.

"Mom, it was different this time. I never sleepwalked before and never once did I have a conversation with him."

My mother looked concerned but kept quiet to keep listening to my story. "He threatened you and dad. He said I had to let the transformation happen and I'll become stronger. I don't even know where the dream starts and the reality ends, and what am I supposed to do with my fate bond if the person I'm fated to can't even look at me?"

Life wasn't getting easier with all these questions yet I knew how to answer them all with just one act.

Leave.

If I wanted to keep my parents safe I needed to stay away from them. Cassius hasn't exactly been a very close friend but if none this happened and we got ti know each other I know we would've been close. I needed to leave all of them behind and find the necromancer. Where to begin I had no idea but maybe starting to pack was a good start. Of course I couldn't tell my parents about this so I'll just have to make up an excuse.

I heard dad returning with Cassius and saw the look on his face has calmed down at least. He was still weary of me but at least he could look at me without the fear in his eyes.

"You know what I think. I think I want to make some breakfast, who's hungry?" My dad always made the best pancakes and so me and my mother both raised our hands at the same time. I knew that everything wasn't going to be fine after one meal but at least we could all sit down and have a normal day before I have to leave.

...

"You can't be serious. How do you forget your own birthday?" Cassius was laughing at me while eating the rest of his pancake that in my opinion had to much syrup on.

Yes I fid forget my own birthday and I blame it all on him. He was the reason why I even forgot to take a pill that I have been taking for the last five years every day. In fact my parents even forgot until we got back home and they suddenly remembered that I was 21 years old.
