The night was cool, light beaming down through wispy, gray clouds from the moon. _____ always enjoyed her nightly train ride. Beautiful sights of trees and colorful buildings passed by, lit by streetlights and neon signs. She tries to leave her house by 10 in the evening, usually making it to the train station in ten minutes. From then on, it is a heavily enjoyable hour and a half journey to Shizuoka.

Wonderfully enough, Japan is surrounded by the Pacific Ocean and Sea of Japan. Miyagawacho sits on a peninsula on the shore of Tokyo Bay, leading out to the Pacific. Often times, many would hear boat horns wailing during the day: she thought it to be a comforting sound.

The train gradually became more and more empty as her trip came to an end. The doors whirred open, and the girl trudged down the metal stairs. Taking a deep breath of fresh air through her nose, she turned toward the bus driver before the doors closed and bowed. He refused to charge her for being a passenger anymore.

She left the train station hastily with only a 3 minute walk to the Shizuoka Police Department. As always, she made her way to the gas station to grab a few snacks before work.

The small convenience store was lit up through the dark night. It was fairly busy which was normal, but it was packed tonight. Pushing the front door open, the bell rung lightly.

"Hello, _____!" the cashier exclaimed.

"Kaja, hello," she smiled to her.

She grinned happily at the girl. The woman found it odd that she was the only cashier working tonight, considering how busy it was.

Grabbing a bag of chips, she asked, "Kaja, where's Lee?"

"Oh, he got off early. Family emergency," she answered.

"Ah," _____ responded, "Hopefully everything is alright."

"Yeah, no shit," she droned, "he practically ran out of here."

She continued down the drink aisle on the far side, debating between a coffee or an energy drink. This was a daily struggle.

In the distance, she heard the door bell ring again. Poor Kaja, it was already busy enough.

"Hm," she rubbed my chin, grabbing the door handle to the glass fridge, "yeah. Coffee."

She let go of the door handle and swiveled on her feet.

"Don't move!" a man screamed. Looking left to right, she saw no one in the aisle she was in. Setting the drink down quietly on the floor, she walked slowly, heel-to-toe.

Noise began to rise in the shop. People yelling, and crying. Footsteps quickly running around. This was panicking; knowing whatever situation this was, it was no longer calm.

She activated her quirk immediately while pressing her body up to the shelf across from the fridges. Still, no one was in her aisle.

"251 to Shizuoka," she uttered lowly.

Cho's voice answered lightly in her head, "251, go ahead."

"Shizuoka, I am in Lee's Gas Station on Block 2," She paused, stimulating her infrared vision.

She scanned through the walls and shelves with her eyes

She scanned through the walls and shelves with her eyes.

"Looks like 4 subjects are robbing the store. 2 are armed males with handguns. Exit is blocked via stone quirk. 9 civilians inside, including myself. No injuries," she concluded.

"10-4, we have 4 deputies and Pro-hero Ectoplasm 10-45," Cho replied.

"10-4," _____ confirmed, deactivating the radio waves.

Taking a deep breath, she pinched her hand. When she realized this was not a dream, she squeezed her eyes shut.

"Shit," she hissed.

Her quirk was not meant for action. It was meant for information and watchful eyes, so she knew the only help she could be was advising the deputies of everything she sees.

"Where is Lee?" one of the men yelled.

Remaining calm in an armed robbery is harder than it sounded. Being a dispatcher took a lot of patience, a lot of peace, and guts, but being in the scenario is a bit different. _____ backtracked on what she would say to someone under heavy stress.

- Stay calm.
- Do not instigate or antagonize the suspects.
- No sudden movements.

She ignited her infrared vision again, seeing Kaja being held at gunpoint by one of the 'robbers'.

"Where the fuck is Lee?" he yelled again, jerking the gun toward her head.

She held her hands up as a surrender, shaking furiously.

"I don't know," she cried, "he left earlier today!"

"Hey, don't move!" another voice commanded.

_____ shifted her eyes toward the ice cream section, seeing a woman hunched over protecting her child from the armed man.

"I'm sorry," she whimpered.

Using her quirk still, she looked back toward Kaja and the male still trying to get an answer from her. He was clearly frustrated and almost seemed unstable. Within less than a second, the gun was fired.

_____ watched Kaja's face distort from the bullet as her ears rung. She couldn't hear the cashier's body fall, but she witnessed it first-hand. She gaped at the pool of blood flowing from her head. Her mouth hung open in complete disbelief.

Suddenly, a large, buff suspect started to walk around the corner of the shelf where the dispatcher was crouched. She saw him coming, panic flooding through her chest.

"Don't move, _____," she commanded herself.

Her head craned up to look at the insanely tall male who crept up on her. She glanced at his hands quickly, then back up to his scarred face, making a mental note that he was not wielding a weapon.

His laugh was deranged and made her stomach turn.

"I found another one," he hollered.

He leaned in close to her face, making sure she could feel his breath. she turned her head away from him, pressing her cheek against the shelf.

"What?" he groaned.

She breathed as heavy as she could in and out through her nose, keeping her eyes locked on the kitchen right next to the aisle. His hand squeezed her face, causing her to yelp and react instantly.

She grabbed onto his forearm with both hands, digging her nails in as hard as possible. It visibly drew blood but seemed to leave the man unaffected. She pushed and pushed, trying to get his arm away from her, but size does have an affect in these situations.

Again, he laughed.

"Pitiful," he spoke.

She stopped squeezing his arm and let go of him, refusing to look him in the face, even though he forced her head toward his. Her breaths were rapid and loud, fear and shock overtaking her system.

Sirens were heard in the distance, she could see the reflections of the blue and red light bouncing off the walls.

"Muscular, let's go!"
