"Sit," the villain motioned to the other side of the l-shaped couch.
_____ hesitated but did so anyway. She sat on the edge of the cushion, Spud following after her, laying up right against her and placing his chin on her thigh. Staring at the man, she waited for whatever he wanted to say as she rested her left palm on her sheep dog's back.
"I want to know if you've learned anything new about me," he inquired.
"Well," she started, "I've read almost every police, psychologist, and CPS report possible from your childhood home."
He nodded, having no reaction.
"To be honest, I'm sure that only covers a small portion of what really went on," she added.
She subtly shivered at the thought of a specific call of Dabi's disappearance, which lead to his announced "death".
"I've found every warrant of yours, accounting every crime and murder you've committed. I can't even imagine how many more there are unaccounted for."
"I know of almost everyone you work with in the League in a pretty heavy amount of detail," she continued.
"I know every single one of your siblings' names, locations, quirks, and whatnot. I know quite a lot about your mother-"
"It's been a week. How did you find all this so quick?" he asked, dumbfounded.
If he was being honest, he was impressed. The girl appeared rather young, but she seemed like she knew what she was doing, or at least how to do her job. He was also aware of how much trouble he and Endeavor has separately tried to make him disappear.
"It's part of my training, I guess," she answered, shrugging lightly.
This made Dabi raise a brow.
"What kind of training?" he asked flatly.
"All different sorts," she replied.
He stared at her as a gesture for her to continue, she obviously didn't want to give away too much information on herself. Instead, he stepped in.
"Why are you so protected?" he asked, "What importance do you have?"
She wasn't sure how to answer at first, he continued.
"I mean, I'm going to be honest," he scoffed, "I can't find shit on you no matter how much I've looked. I don't even have a fucking name to go off of."
"This will come off as conceited, but I doubt you'll care: The only importance I hold is the performance of my work and the information I hold. I know so much of Endeavor's personal life and affairs that I am in deep. That goes for a couple other heroes as well. If I wanted out of the lifestyle I'm living, it'd take years. Maybe my lifetime," She paused, picking at her nails.
Dabi listened as best as he could. He wanted to make sure that he wouldn't miss any important information. Though he wasn't the kind to care, he was extremely curious as to this woman's 'relationship' with the heroes.
"That is why I am protected. I'm considered a 'precious database' and an exceptional trusted employee," she finished, rolling her eyes.
_____ loved her job, but her own deputies on top of other agencies loaded her with work because they were either too lazy to do it, or they couldn't find what they wanted. It was frustrating, but it is what it is. They'd brag on her endlessly but ended up treating her like a trophy wife.
She sighed, "I work at the Law Enforcement Center-"
"So, you're a cop?" Dabi interjected.
"No," she corrected, "I'm just a dispatcher."
