I was two when the standers became the regime. I was four when i saw the first body laying lifeless on the street. I was five when my mother gave birth to Henry, there was no hospital for people like us. We are the streeters, we have no rights, we work for the standers in order to survive. more and more people die each day, the elders who cannot work die of hunger. parents became weak and many children became orphans. At twelve my mother gave birth to Lucas and that was the last one to come.

I work for the standers at the kids nursery, I was good with kids, i loved them, but the kids i was taking care of were standers children, thinking that these kids one day will rule over me and my family makes it hard seeing them as kids, they will grow up to be cruel, just like their parents are.

The streets were flooded with stander soldiers, watching our every move. a wrong move can lead us to our death. No one dared to speak up to the soldiers, none of us shared secrets between one another. you see the standers took some streeters and made them in to their own little spies, the eyes of the standers were inside of us, the only people you could trust is our family and not everyone had that.

The streeters are filthily, most had showers at home but not everyone had the money to use them. luckily between my work and Harry's work as a street cleaner we had enough to put food on the table and shower.

Each of us had seven pairs of uniforms for work, we don't have clothes of our own, the standers say there is no need for them because we work everyday with uniforms. This is just another way for them to show who has the power, who's in control.

The date is 6.3.2234, it has been sixteen years since the standers came to power over us, by now we all hoped they would stop, power down. There are rebels out there beyond the gates of Westvally . I turn eighteen in three months, i want to join the rebels, but i cant leave my family, i don't even know where the rebels are.... but i know at some point i will join them and end this.

For now i was taking care of mini standers, they were sweet, innocent but in little time that will change and they will grow to be the monsters they were born to be.

"Alivia" i hear Alice the head nursery teacher call me.

"yes" i answered while placing down a Lego piece i held to help one of the kids.

"we are short on bread and butter" she said

"no worry ma'am" i answered taking my coat to cover myself from the cold and mostly to cover my face in order to not get any attention and of course not to catch any sickness.

i made my way to the small grocery store located not far from the nursery. the wind was cold and people were watching my every move. so many streeters were splayed, weak, hungry and sick. watching them suffer made me angry. no person should be treated this way.

As i opened the door to walk in to the grocery store, i noticed a group of stander soldiers. They turned around inspecting me, I could feel their eyes undressing me, i felt like a victim.... then again... I am.

They were talking between themselves as i continues to do my duties. They were looking at me, i could feel it, when i glanced up one of them smirked, while his friend winked. i had to get my stuff and leave before this situation gets worse.
