Sigma was chilling out at home, except that he wasn't really chilling. He was a confused mess. He couldn't stop thinking about that guy he'd run into at the store. He didn't understand why that was. He'd only just met Katai, so it couldn't be that he was starting to fall for him...

Right?

Sigma shook his head. This was too confusing, and he had no idea to ask for help unless he asked a certain two idiots for help. Not that he was referring to them like that in a mean way. He just often felt that way since he was practically the mom of their little group. But maybe as bumbling as they could be, they were also good at giving advice. Plus, they were already a couple. Maybe Sigma could ask them how they got together and get some tips. Sure, he'd given each of them advice at least at one point, but he didn't know if his advice had actually done anything, or if the rat and clown had eventually figured things out on their own.

Only one way to find out.

Sigma opened the group chat he had with the two people in question.

Sigma: Hey! You two!

Fyodor: yes?

Nikolai: you rang?

Sigma: I need help

Fyodor: help, you say?

Sigma: Yes

Nikolai: hmmm, interesting~

Sigma: Any chance you could come over?

Fyodor: you got it

Nikolai: sure

Sigma: Thanks! See you soon

With that, Sigma turned off his phone and continued to think.

A few minutes later, he heard a knock on his door. He got up to open it.

"Heeeeeelllllllllloooooooooo, my dear friend," Nikolai cooed.

"Long time no see," Fyodor commented.

"Yeah, hey. It's been awhile," Sigma agreed. He stepped aside to let them in.

"So what do you need help with?" Nikolai headed straight to the couch.

Fyodor was quick to follow.

"Well, you see...there's this guy," Sigma began.

"Is there now?" Nikolai smirked.

"Yes. And stop making that face."

"I don't know what you're talking about."

"Yes, you do."

"Fiiiiiiiinnnnnneeeeeeeeee."

"As I was saying, there's this guy I ran into at the store."

"Mhm?"

"And...I haven't been able to stop thinking about him."

"Someone's really crushing hard," Fyodor remarked.

"What?! No!" Sigma protested.

"...You just admitted to not being able to stop thinking about him and you're not crushing on him?" Fyodor raised his eyebrows.

"Yes."

"You're so oblivious."

"Rude."

"Nah."

"...I don't know, maybe I do like him."

"Sure sounds like it given how you can't stop thinking about him."

"But...what do I do?"

Fyodor thought about it. "Well, if you happen to see him again, you could try asking him if he wants to hang out."

"True," Sigma agreed.

"And then I'm sure one thing will lead to another and you two will be confessing your undying love for each other before you know it."

"Whoa there, Fyodor. Don't get too ahead of yourself. We only just met yesterday."

"Hey, a guy can dream."

"Fair enough."

"But in all seriousness, I hope it goes well for you."

"Thanks."

"You're welcome."

"Yeah, have a little faith in yourself, Sigma," Nikolai advised.

Sigma nodded. "I'll try."

"Good."

"Wait! I do have a question for both of you, actually," Sigma announced.

"Yes?" Fyodor and Nikolai questioned in unison.

"How did you guys get together? Maybe you could give me some pointers."

"It was partially thanks to your advice," Fyodor recalled. "I already knew I liked Nik, but I didn't know if he liked me back until you told me probably did."

"Yeah, after an eternity of denial, I finally began to realize that I liked Fyo. It was a shocking realization, to be honest. But eventually, I figured it out and confessed to him, and the rest was history," Nikolai added.

"Well, I'm glad I could help," Sigma responded.

"Yeah! And now we get to return the favor."

"You sure do, and I appreciate it."

"You're welcome. Anything for our favorite mom friend."

"I like how we all agree I'm the mom of the group."

"You really are," Fyodor pointed out.

"True, true," Sigma agreed.

"So, was that enough advice for you to go off of?" Nikolai asked.

Sigma nodded. "It was. Thanks a lot, both of you."

"Anytime," Fyodor replied.

"I'll see you guys later then?" Sigma asked.

Nikolai and Fyodor nodded and began to leave, bidding Sigma goodbye as they did so.

Sigma waved back, thanking them again for the help.

Then in that moment, Sigma came to a decision.

He was going to hopefully run into Katai again and start by asking if he wanted to hang out.
