Basara and Yuki then cut down the demon and looked at the masked man with hatred.
Basara: Bastard!
Yuki: I'll never forgive you!
Yuki then went to hit him from behind, but he jumps out of the way.
??: You need to treat him soon, or it might be to late for him.
The man then looked at Mio
??: Do you understand? This is the result of your decision.
Mio: My...
??: Will you involve others, get them hurt, and continue to fight your futile battle, just to carry out your own revenge? Depending on your decision, I could end all this in a instant.
The masked man then disappeared and everyone turned their attention toward Akira. Basara then picks him up.
Basara: We need to hurry and get him back home!
Mio just continued to look at Akira, feeling guilty for getting him hurt and she started tearing up.
Mio: Akira...I'm sorry...I'm so sorry! I'm so sorry!
Yuki then looks at Mio and started feeling bad for her.

After returning back home, Basara and Mio took Akira to Maria and they bandaged him up. Currently Basara, Mio and Maria were standing by his bed side.
Mio: How is he?
Maria: He's wound is healing, and his pulse is normal.
Basara: That's good to hear.
Mio: Thank goodness.
Mio then thought back to what the man had said and clenched her fist tightly.
Maria: He just needs to rest and regain his stamina.
Basara then looks over at Mio and notice her clenching her fist.
Basara: Mio?
Maria: Are you okay?
Mio: Hm? Oh, yeah I just felt a little feverish.
Maria: That's not good. We should get you some medicine...
Mio: Don't worry. I'll go rest up in my room for a bit.
Basara: Are you sure?
Mio: I am. Just take care of Akira, okay.

Mio then walks out of the room and Akira then starts to wake up.

Basara: Glad to see your not dead.
Akira:*chuckles* It'll take more than this to keep me down.

Maria: But, I must say, you are incredible. I was pretty sure that you would be out for at least a week. But you're already conscious.
Akira: Thanks to the training I was given, my body's a lot more durable than it is.
Akira then remembers his the days of training with Yoruichi and...him.
Maria: Akira?
Akira: Hm? Oh, that's right. Where's Mio?
Maria: She said she was feeling feverish and went to lay down.

Basara: Nah, I dont think it was.
Maria: If it were the curse, Mio would be more squirmy and embarrassed. I'll go check up on her real quick.

Akira then looked at Basara and he was in deep thought.
Akira: You got that nagging feel as well?
Basara: Yeah...
Maria then ran back into the room with panicked expression.
Maria: There's trouble! Mio is...!
Akira: What is it?
Maria: She's gone! She isn't in her room!

Basara: That idiot!

Basara: Right, let's go, Maria.
