3 Weeks Later.
It has been 3 weeks since Wednesday left Nevermore. Being back at home was torture and not in the good way. It had also been approximately 3 days since Wednesday had thought about the vision she had in the bathroom back at the dorm. Not that Wednesday was counting and she most certainly was not thinking about it either. You know what they say, when something was out of sight it was out of mind.
The semester at school had been such a whirlwind that getting back into the Addams Family home life was like putting life in slow motion. Even waterboarding Pugsley wasn't as exciting as it once was. To be honest, she missed Nevermore and all of the students... her friends.
Wednesday is sitting at her desk at home typing on her typewriter already a few chapters into Viper's second adventure. She pulls out the paper and crumples it up. Thing scurries over and tap tap tap signs to Wednesday.
"I don't know, Thing. The lack of inspiration is getting to me," Wednesday says with a huff.
Thing signs another message to Wednesday.
"No Thing, I don't miss my friends. I'm Wednesday Addams. I like isolation and solitude. I need inspiration, not communication," Wednesday says scrunching her nose.
Thing tap tap taps then scurries over to Wednesday's backpack and pulls out the cellphone Xavier had given her.
"Have you honestly been snooping, Thing! I said I wouldn't allow this gadget to suck up my soul. I intend to keep it that way." Wednesday picks up the phone to chuck it across the room to her bed, but as she does it vibrates like when you miss a notification.
"Wait just a second... Maybe inspiration is finding its way to me. Do you think the stalker is messaging me again?"
Thing throws up a thumb and a pinky as if shrugging. Wednesday carefully turns on the phone, holding it much too far away from her face.3 New Messages from an Unknown Contact.
This seems promising. She tapped on the notification.
Message 1 Unknown Contact:
Hey Wednesday. Long time no see! So like don't be mad, but Yoko told me that Devina told her and Bianca told her that Xavier told her that he got you a cellphone. I can't believe you have a cell phone and didn't even bother giving YOUR BEST FRIEND AND THE BEST ROOMMATE IN THE WORLD your phone number. It's okay though, I reached out to Xavier and he gave me your number.
Message 2 Unknown Contact:
But Wednesday, I'm having a really rough time back at home. I know we don't usually talk about feelings but right now I really need a friend to talk to. Shit has kind of come to a head here and I don't know what to do and I don't really want to talk to anyone else but you right now. So if you're feeling up to it, can you like message me back.
Message 3 Unknown Contact:
Love,
YOUR BEST FRIEND AND THE BEST ROOMMATE IN THE WORLD
Enid 💗 (pink heart emoji)
Wednesday lets out a deep sign, "What did I say, Thing! Isolation and inspiration not communication."
Wednesday sets the phone back onto the desk and begins to roll a new sheet of paper into the typewriter. Thing zips by and pushes the cellphone back toward Wednesday.
Wednesday looks at Thing with a panicked look on her face. 3 days, she had made it 3 days without thinking about that vision. Before that, she had only thought of all the things she had to do in order to avoid that vision ever coming to fruition. Now 3 days down the drain because she was thinking about it again and this... messaging Enid back had to be the first flap of wings in the butterfly effect of things to come in the future.
