I looked at her questionably, "Beach?" I ask tilting my head to the right in confusion.

The woman then smiled as she took her sunglasses off, "My name is Ann, and I think you would make a great recruit to bring back to the beach." She finishes shortly.

I glance at Kuina and then back at Ann, realizing the teenager from earlier had disappeared awhile ago. "What exactly is the beach?" I ask, still clueless.

Ann stands up as she slowly walks over to a bench and sits down "The beach is our 'utopia'," she pauses before continuing. "The only building we can use electricity and running water. We also separate every person by number ranking, 1 being the highest and 100 being the lowest." She points at her wristband, "Executives are all ranks 1 through 9." I take a look at her wristband revealing she is an executive. "Though, we are searching for a few more executives." She says eying me down.

I was skeptical about the situation but when I glanced at Kuina she was already smiling at me, encouraging me to take her offer. "Okay, I'll come with you." I announce before my attention shifts to something standing behind Kuina. Swiftly I stand up and walk closer to a white table with a card on it. I step closer and pick the card up as it reads, 'eight of spades'.

"Those are important, give it to me." Ann insists as you notice she was now only a few inches away from you.

I hand her the card with a puzzled expression, "How are they important, they look more like an accessory to me." I state as I watch Ann slide it into her pocket.

Kuina walked to stand beside you, "You'll see when we get to the beach." She informs me, gesturing me to follow behind her as I notice Ann has already began walking towards a car.

I approach the vehicle, seeing Ann get inside of the drivers seat, and Kuina opening the backseat car door as she slides inside, moving over one seat and patting the spot next to her as an invitation to sit next to her. Hesitantly I get in as well, closing the door next to me. Ann started the engine, and the roofless car began to move forward, sending a slight breeze to my face.

I couldn't help but feel disturbed after what I had witnessed. I felt at fault for the man's death as if, if I was quicker to get to him he would still be alive. I soon came to a conclusion that it was a matter of life or death now. Some things really can't be helped. Soon the silence was broken by Kuina.
