Steam fills the house, dinner in the making. "Y/n run to the market, we ran out of kale." My mother calls out to me as I work on my homework.
"Let me at least finish my math work, I'm behind again." I plead, earning a glare from my mother.
"Would you prefer no dinner?"
I sigh in defeat, getting up from where I was sitting. "Couldn't you just use a substitute. I was able to make decent dashi without pure kale," I remark. I didn't really want to go outside in the dark, cold city alone.
"Just listen to your mother y/n. The last time I acted against her, she didn't let me eat a pure meal for a week." My father stepped in, not taking his eyes off of his book.
I let an amused look crawl onto my face before my mother looked at me scoffing. "Don't laugh at him. I wouldn't hesitate to starve you too!" The hectic woman exclaimed.
"I'm going!" I say, stretching out my words. "Do you think I need a coat dad?" I ask before leaving.
"Yes" He replied bluntly.
Noting what he said, I went to the closet and pulled out my coat. Once my coat was on I walked towards the door and slid my shoes on, opening the door as I do so. 'Hell, it feels like a yeti's butthole', I think to myself. Closing the door, I begin walking downstairs and pull my coat closer to my body.
"You.." I heard a low, older voice speak out.
I turn around in a state of confusion, "Eh?" I had laid my eyes on an old man, a familiar man.
"You..." He continued, "Couldn't save.. me." He muttered out.
'The hell is up with this guy?'
"Wake.." He kept talking, pointing at me. "Wake up!"

"Wake up y/n!" I could hear a faint female voice. Slowly I began to open my eyes.
'Just a dream?' I could finally recognize the female as Kuina, I felt my irritation grow as to why she was waking me up.
"We can do this all night." The same female voice says.
"Let me sleep woman." I say, groggily.
Hearing a large sigh, I felt the covers being pulled off of me harshly. "I said don't be surprise if Kuina and I visit you, no?" It was a male voice this time.
