(Syon boy is a shithead... but I have to stay on good terms with him if I want this mission to go smoothly.)
It had been a few days since the magic knights entrance exam and Anya still hadn't written a letter to send home. She was slumped over the desk in her new room as she stared at the window, wondering how to proceed with the mission.
"I got into the magic knights, but what am I supposed to do now?"
Anya shot her head up when she heard a knock at the door, startled, she stood up and cracked the door open a bit. To her dismay, it was Draco.
"Don't look at me like that, I'm just here to check up on you! you've been keeping to yourself up here for days and the other members want to meet you. What are you even doing in here anyway?." Draco complained as he peeked inside, looking at the scattered papers all over the desk and floor.
"Wait, it's been days?!"
"You... you didn't realize...? Never mind, just come on." Draco said as he pushed open the door, grabbing Anya's arm and dragging her to the common area.
"Now you're a kidnapper?! Let me go!"
"You're not staying locked up in your room forever!"
Before Anya knew it she was in the common area where about a dozen other members sat, chatting with each other. Damian was in the corner reading a book, when he noticed her his face twisted in disgust as he got up and walked away.
"Shithead..." Anya whispered under her breath.
("How cute! She looks so young!") Anya heard from one of the girls thoughts, she turned to look at the couch where the girl had been sitting. Though she had gotten up and was now making her way towards Anya.
"Hello, you must be Anya. I'm Becky, Becky Blackbell, I look forward to working with you." The brunette said as she held her hand out for a handshake. Her pigtails were held together by frilly white scrunchies as they hung low on her head. Anya hesitantly obliged, shaking Becky's hand.
"I saw you at the magic knights entrance exam, both you and Draco are both very skilled mages, I'm impressed. Although I do admit I was surprised to see you using a sword, you don't see that too often."
"Yeah, well besides what I did in the exam, my magic isn't really suited for combat..." Anya explained, scratching the back of her head. "By the way, how's your head?" Anya snickered as she turned to Draco.
"...you think you're funny, huh?"
"I'm asking out of genuine concern... heh."
"..."
As the three of them chatted away a tall man with dark skin and long locs, tied back into a bun entered the room, his icy blue eyes scanning the area until his gaze fell to the three of them.
"Anya Forger, Becky Blackbell, Draco Finch." The man called out as he walked closer to them, his heavy footsteps filling the room. "Vice captain Demetrius has assigned you three to a mission, along with Damian, is he here?"
"He left a while ago, he's probably pouting in his room or something." Becky informed him.
"Ugh, I'll go take a look, the three of you head over to the main hall. I'll meet you there to tell you the details after I find Damian." The man said as he walked off at a faster pace than he had arrived.
(I've been assigned a mission with syon boy?? Looks like the gods are looking upon me with favor.)
"Hey, who was that?" Anya asked as she watched the man leave.
"Oh, that was Cryrus. He's a first class senior magic knight, since he has seniority over pretty much everyone he's the boss when the cap and vice cap aren't around, which is... most of the time. It pisses Damian off, but seeing Damian pissed brings me joy so Cyrus and I get along pretty well. Just don't get on his bad side..."
