><Eiko's POV><

Akino looks at me. I squeak softly with fear. "Im sorry," I mumble.

Everyone gasps and looks at me with shock. "I'm... I'm sorry I didn't say anything to stop you guys..."

"No, no! It's okay," Kazuko tries to comfort me. I think Kazuko is my favorite sister.

"But... Its my fault that Akino yelled... I didn't want to fight... I was scared...," I whimper.

Akino kneels down to me, and I feel like running off. "Listen, Eiko," she says softly and calmly. I pause, calming down. "Nothing is your fault. Sisters... well, they just happen to squabble sometimes."

"And that's okay?" I ask her in confusion.

"And that's okay. Nobody is perfect, Eiko."

Nobody Is Perfect, I repeat to myself in my head. I'll make sure I remember that.

><Kazuko's POV><

Eiko seems calmer now. That is good. I cant bear to see anybody hurting. It makes me hurt too.

"Welp," Akino begins, "that was the treehouse!" Eiko smiles and goes onto the beanbag chair. She yawns, and it sounds adorable. I look out the window. Outside, there are many beautiful stars, and the white moon peacefully looms in the distance.

Eiko yawns again. Akino chuckles softly. "It looks like it's bed for you, Eiko." Akino then carries Eiko to her bed, and sits next to her. Akino begins to stroke Eiko gently. I know what she is doing.

><Akino's POV><

Eiko snuggles up to me. I begin singing a song to her. It's the same song I sang to Kazuko, Hika, and Gen when they were young. It's the same song that Mother sang to me, too.

"Sleep little one, dont you cry.

Sleep little one, dont you weep.

 Baby foxes are resting,

In the forest deep.

Sweet little lambs are safe.

 Sweet little lambs are sound.

Little bunnies are fast asleep,

dreaming their dreams underground.

How many times do I have to tell you

that I love you so? Eiko.

As many times as I want to tell you,

as long as you know. Eiko

Because my love for you,

lasts forever,

I promise we,

will always be... together."

The song always makes me think about Mother. I blink back a few tears. Nobody seems to notice, I have lulled them all to sleep. I go to the window, open it, and look at the stars.

"Mother," I whisper. "I just wanted to let you know that I miss you..."

A refreshing breeze blows through the room. It seems to say to me; "Akino. I love you too, and I miss you as well. I am so proud of you for raising your sisters when I am unable to. Thank you. Keep up the good work."

"Youre welcome, Mother.. I will." I blink back a few more tears, then gently close the window.
