Eiko (ウ)'s Backstory

Apology

(5 years later, Eiko is now 13, Akino is now 26, Gen is now 23, Hika is now 20, and Kazuko is now 17.)

I write in my diary-

"Dear Diary,

                It's been five years since I've last spoken with my sisters.

                I must admit, I sort of miss them.... kind of...

                I think it's time to patch things up...

                What do you think?"

I close my diary and drop my pen onto the desk, then emerge from my room.

"Hello-?"

Suddenly, I am embraced by all of my sisters.

"Oh, Eiko," Akino says tearfully, but joyfully. "We've missed you so much!"

"Yeah," adds Gen. "For the past five years, you've only been coming out of your room to eat or shower!"

"Tell me," Asks Kazuko, "How did you manage?"

Hika says nothing. I look at her, and I see a single teardrop rolling down her cheek as she embraces me.

"Guys?"

"Yeah," Akino asks.

"I'm sorry I fought with you all those years ago... I was just.. so upset. I was young and immature.. and I'm really sorry..." I begin to tear up.

The embrace gets tighter, as my sisters all say in unison- "We forgive you!"

For the first time in five years, I felt loved. And I still feel  loved, even after they all let go of the embrace. 

Akino then whispers to me. "Eiko- you have now come of age."

I look at her, confused.

"It's time you learned the truth," she says. "Eiko- you are not ordinary... you... are the youngest princess of planet ぞ.

I gasp, smiling. All my life, I didn't know I was of royalty... but now? Now, I feel special.
