Don and I were spending Sunday together like we always did. We were walking to a nearby park awaiting our next adventure. The sun was shining, birds were chirping, and we were laughing. Things couldn't get any better. It was gonna be a good day.
"Hey!" I squealed when he poked me.
"What?" he responded.
"You know I don't like being poked"
"Which is exactly why I did it!"
"Why was I the only one left with a cruel friend?"
"Oh come on you know you love me."
"Loved!" I said with fire.
It was then that I wished I could take back my words.
"Oh your gonna get it now!" He said running to attack me.
"Donny you know I didn't mean that." I said running across the street, pleading him not to take away my dignity. Whenever I do stuff like this he tackles me to the ground. But it doesn't stop there. He proceeds to tickle me senselessly until I plead defeat.
"What's been said has been do-" was all he could make out before a car suddenly collided with his body.

I woke up from that horrible nightmare completely dazed. Why did I just dream my best friend getting into a car accident? Does this mean anything? I stopped my thinking realizing i'm lucky enough to wake up before things got gory.
I really should stop watching Teen Wolf before I go to sleep.
Slowly getting out of bed I realized I woke up bright and early on a Saturday morning.
Great. Just great.
"Maybe I was meant to be a morning person. Maybe this is the beginning of something great to come." I said to myself when I saw the sunrise
Checking my phone I saw the time was 7:04. Yeah, nope.
Rolling myself onto my bed and grabbing my phone from the charger in the process. I got myself comfortable as I got ready to catch up on all I'd missed on Facebook, Instagram, and Snapchat while asleep.
--
I was awoken yet again but to Vance Joy's beautiful voice singing Riptide, a ringtone I'd personally set for my best friend.
"What do you want?" I asked with annoyance.
"Be ready in 10, I'm on my way!" Joy squealed on the other end, hanging up immediately.
Why was she so excited for? Its only 7-
It was 1 o'clock.
When did I fall asleep? I pushed my thoughts aside as I tried finding something to wear. Luckily I'd showered the night before so I'd be able to get ready in time.
Just as I finished up, I heard Vance's handsome voice yet again. Resisting the urge to sing along, I picked up the phone.
"You ready?" Joy asked still a little enthusiasm left in her voice
"Yeah where are we going?"
"Just get your butt outside. I have more exciting news to tell you!" She hung up again
Grabbing my phone, purse and keys I ran downstairs, anticipating what was behind all her enthusiasm.
"Well what is it?!" I asked once I was in her car.
"Well....." She stalled while backing out of my drive way.
"Come on! Joy don't get someone excited then not tell them!"
"Fine. Eric Wade invited me to a party today." She told me slowly and unsteadily.
"Wait, Eric Wade the senior?"
"Yeah. That's what surprised me, you wouldn't expect one of the most popular guys to even talk to me."
"Wait, Eric Wade the senior?" I asked again
"Yes! We just clarified that. Were you there?"
Why would a senior talk to a junior, let alone Joy?
Though she may seem like your average outgoing teenager, in reality she's shy and barely talks unless you get to know her. I can still remember the first time I met her. She seemed quite reserved but once I struck up a conversation topic she exploded with personality. You don't find people like her often so I'm glad to call her a friend.
"Hello? Earth to Cassie?" She said waving her hands at me though her eyes clearly should have been on the road.
"Yeah, I'm here. I was just thinking. But you need to focus on the road."
"Oh yeah, I forgot. What were you day dreaming about?"
"I was just thinking about our friendship. But tell me everything that went down! I want all the details!"
"Thinking good or bad things about our friendship?"
"Good of course. Now tell me!"
"Fine. Fine. So yesterday I had to stay after school to finish my Spanish test which sucked at first because all I wanted to do was go home, it was Friday. So as I was leaving the building, about to enter my car, Eric approached me."
"What did you do?" I interrupted.
"I was getting to that, Sherlock. So at first I was really nervous, like i was stuttering and blushing immediately. I ended up apologizing but he told me not to. Then he called me cute."
"What?"
"Yeah he called me cute. I proceeded to tell him to stop. He said 'No I won't because it's true, you're actually gorgeous,' I was probably redder than Santa deciding to deliver gifts on foot at that point."
I burst out laughing as a light blush spread to her cheeks.
"I'm sorry. Please continue." I apologized. We were parked in the middle of town by now.
"So then he asked me to come to his party today. Then he kissed my cheek and said 'See you later, love'. I literally had to try my hardest not to faint while getting into the car." vg6
"Alright. But why are we in town then?"
"We need to go shopping. More importantly I need to. I have nothing worthy enough to wear to a senior party and you could be apart of the Junior Fashion Police. So please help me."
"Alright but on one condition."
"What?"
"We get lunch first, I'm starving!"

Hope y'all like the chapter. I'm planning on updating tomorrow if I don't have homework because i'm also interested in where this story is gonna go. So hopefully i'll be one of those frequent updating authors.
And there is a picture of my boy Brenton Thwaites to the side. He was in The Giver and Maleficent if you noticed but I picked him because that's what I imagined Eric to look like.
Well that's all I have in store for you today. (I really wish I could survive with no sleep so i can finish this book, someone tell science that) Any questions or concerns?! Comment or personally message me and i'll try to get back to you as soon as possible.
And don't forget to vote! The more votes the faster the updates!
