"You want me to come with you?", you lean against the kitchen counter and look at Eddie, a cup of coffee in your hands. "You know I always want to have you around me, babe, but I think this is something me and the boys have to deal with by ourselves", he sighs and walks up to you while rubbing his face. "You're nervous, mh?", you put your cup down and gently place your hands on his cheeks. He nods lightly, "Fucking nervous. That's a big deal for us". "I know", you lovingly caress his skin and move your face closer to his, "But you need to calm down, okay? Everything's going to be alright". "I'm trying", he mumbles while grabbing a joint from behind his ear and sliding his hand into his backpocket to reach for his zippo. "Uh-uh", you shake your head and quickly take the joint from his lips, "You should keep a clear head". He looks at you with an unimpressed look and groans annoyed, while rolling his eyes. "We'll share it later to celebrate, okay?", you turn around and place the joint on a shelf while hearing a dramatic sigh behind you. "I'm not sure if there will be anything to celebrate", he mumbles, leaned back against the counter with his arms crossed in front of his chest. "Edward Munson!", you take a deep breath and turn back around to him, your finger poking into his chest as you stare into his surprised eyes, "Could you fucking stop being such a pessimist for one second? You are an amazingly talented guitarist, your band mates are fucking awesome in what they do and the music you all create together is fan-tas-tic", your finger pokes into his chest with every syllable, "So stop behaving like a goddamn wimp and show me that fucking self-confidence I fell in love with. Corroded coffin deserves the world. You deserve the fucking world, Eddie. So straighten your back and show them what a fucking great deal you guys are, you hear me?". His eyebrows slowly rise, "You call me a wimp?". "Is that the only thing you take from my speech? Amazing", you roll your eyes and sigh, when feeling his arms going around you and pulling you close against him. "Of course not", he mumbles while looking into your eyes, "You're right". "Sorry, what was that?", you put one hand behind your ear and turn your head, "Could you say that again?". He chuckles softly and leans closer, "I said you're fucking right". "That's music to my ears", you smirk at him and wrap your arms around his neck. "No matter what's happening today, you will always be my rockstar. And I'll always be your number one groupie", your smiling lips connect for a long kiss. "I love you", he mumbles into your kiss before pressing his lips on yours again, both of your hearts fluttering in your chests. Your lips slowly part. "I'll be at work later, come over when you're done, okay?", you smile at him and caress his neck. He nods and kisses your forehead, before lifting his arm and taking a look at his watch, "I have to go, gotta pick up the boys". "You got this, baby. I believe in you", you say with a cheering smile before pulling away from him. "See you later, wish me luck!", he quickly kisses you goodbye and heads out the door to jump into his van. Seconds later, the door opens again. "Forgot my keys", he quickly grabs them from the sidetable and smirks at you. You blow him a kiss and wave at him as he closes the door again, the sound of his starting van roars through the open windows a few moments later. "He got this", you whisper, while grabbing your coffee cup again and sitting down on one of the bar stools at your kitchen counter, "He got this".

"Hey, are you alright?", Gabby looks at you while wiping over the counter in front of you. You nervously looked at the clock for the hundredth time since you both started your shift two hours ago. "Yeah, I'm just nervous because Eddie and the band have their meeting with Trevor, the guy from the music label, and it's been hours since they left to meet him", you say, your fingers nervously playing with Eddie's ring on your right hand. "But isn't that a good sign?", she asks while passing you by to wipe the other side of the counter as well. "I guess? Ugh, I don't know", you lean back against the wall and look at her, "What if it didn't work?". She stops and looks at you, "There will be a good reason if it really didn't work out, but there are plenty of music labels who I'm sure would love to work with them". "But what if it destroyed their hopes and dreams? Imagine how bad they'd feel if someone from this industry tells them he's not interested anymore after getting to know them a little better. I'd be heartbroken if that happened to me, I'd probably stop dreaming that big. I don't want them to loose hope, Gabby". Gabby sighs and puts down her cloth. "Listen, you're being overdramatic, okay? They're gone for hours, Jules. That's a good sign. So, please, take a deep breath and try to get shit done, I'm sure they'll come by any minute". You nod and take a deep breath to calm your nerves, before taking a walk through the bar to check on the tables. The front door opens, and Robin steps inside, she quickly waves at you while walking up to the counter and sits down in front of Gabby. "Hey girl", you smile at her as you step back behind the counter, starting to draw a round of beer for one of the tables while looking at her, "How you doing?". "Ugh, don't ask. I guess Vickie and I just had an argument". "Oh oh, what happened?", Gabby steps next to you and places a soda in front of her. "I accidentally met her parents. We were out for dinner earlier, sat outside of an Italian restaurant next town. And her parents coincidentally walked by, on their way back from the movies. God, it was horrible. They saw us and came over, I obviously didn't know it was her parents until I saw the frightened look in Vickie's eyes. They introduced themselves and asked for my name, smiling at me. Probably thought I'm just a friend of her. You should've seen the corners of their mouths drop when I introduced myself. Oh. That's what they said! Oh! And that's all! Can you believe it?", she takes a deep breath and shakes her head, "They looked up and down on me and turned back to Vickie, asking if she has to tell them something. Turns out, she never told them we're back together. Amazing". " Gabby turns around a pours a shot of tequila for her, "Here, you need that". Robin nods and downs it in one go, before looking back at you. "What did she say?", you ask, while putting the beers you just drew on a serving tray. "She just stammered something, I don't know. I was so confused, I didn't know what to say. I mean I knew they're no big fans of her being with a woman now, and I knew they're not very interested in getting to know me. And you know what? I grew fine with that, I love Vickie for who she is, not for her parents. But I thought she at least told them we're back together, but she didn't say a word to them, and honestly, that really hit me. She's not sticking with me, and that fucking hurts". You nod and reach over the counter to grab her hand, "I know, I'm sorry that happened, Robin. But what now?". She shrugs, "I don't know, I'm kinda mad at her. We left the restaurant shortly after, and let me tell you, that ride home was awful". "Did you talk? Or just sat in silence?", Gabby asks while starting to rinse some glasses. "I asked her what all of that meant, and she confessed she never told them. She apologized countless times, but I didn't know what to say, so we sat in silence until we were back in Hawkins". Robin sighs and puts her head in her hands, "Why does it have to be so hard? I just wanna be happy with the woman I love, is that too much to ask for?". You grab the tray and quickly serve the beers to your thirsty costumers, before stepping behind Robin and wrapping your arms around her, "Everything's going to be alright, you hear me? I know it's hard, and I'm so sorry you guys are facing those problems with her parents, but you love her, and she loves you. Don't give her up". She sighs and nods, "I'm trying, Jules. I really am. Guess I'm not as unbothered as I thought it am when it comes to her family".
"Hey", Gabby reaches over the counter and grabs Robin's hand, her big brown eyes look straight into hers. "You both are young and in love, and full of dreams. You have each other, and the world waiting for you. So many places to see, so many things to do. You're so lucky you found each other, love each other. Don't let her narrow-minded parents destroy what you have. One day, you'll pack your things and leave this town, and you'll hold Vickie's hand. I know it, you know it, Jules knows it. We all know it. You'll leave all of that behind, it's not going to bother you forever". Robin gulps and looks at you, you nod at her and pat her back, "She's right". "I know, I always am", Gabby shrugs and winks at you, Robin chuckles lightly and looks over to the landline phone hanging behind the counter, "Should I call her?".
