My future

Alyssa POV

Me and my dad are in my Mercedes-Benz. He finally trusts me to drive again. We're heading to the academy and I'm completely at ease.

I can do this.

As I reach the entrance gate, they open automatically. They must've seen us, as we were getting closer.

"This won't be a long meeting sweetheart. It'll just be an inspection, to make sure everything is good around here."

"Ok, dad."

"If you don't want to come, you can go home."

"It's alright. I want to see some people. I never got the chance to say goodbye."

"Ok. After this I have to go back to work. We can decide where you want to go later."

We reach the main hall and exit the car. My dad leads me inside and we go right to the main office. He'll be there, I know it. An assistant greets us and offer us a refreshment. She say it'll be a minute, until he's ready to see us.

Then the door open and he steps out. He looks at me right away. He looks surprised that I was here. Then he looks at my dad.

"Hello, sir."   They shake hands and talk for a little bit. I stand there and look around. Nothing has changed.

Carter asked if we would want a tour. I already know what everything looks like. But my dad wants to see everything. We head to the main training center and I see all of my friends. We're looking down at th, so they don't notice me. My dad doesn't want me to talk to them. Because I never told him who got me injured. If he found out that it was Carter, my dad would make sure he has not future.

Carter is explaining all of the upgrades that they have made to the school. He looks good. I missed him.

Does he think about me as much as I think about him?

I have felt so alone without him. I didn't know him for long. But I felt a connection right away. I tried to dress nice, just to show off to him. I hope he noticed.

"Alyssa I need to go make a call. I'll be back in a couple minutes, stay with the general."

Oh shit.

"Ok, dad."   My dad leaves and it just me and Carter. He looks at me and I blush.

"You look just as beautiful as the day you left." He looks sad.

Holy hell. Am I in real life.

"I'm so sorry, Alyssa. I've missed you."   He's right in front of me. Only inches apart from each other.

"Carter, I've missed you to." 

He wraps me up in his arms an doesn't let me go. I could stay here for forever.

"Please don't leave me."  I've never seen him so sad.

"Carter I can't stay. My dad."

"I can't live without you. It was so hard with you gone for five months."

Then he kisses me. I haven't kissed anyone in months. I've missed it.

"Alyssa, I know you don't know me that well, so if you could stay for a couple days and we can get to know each other. I feel a connection with you, that I don't feel with anyone else. Would you?"

"How would I explain that to my dad? Oh.. hey dad can I stay and stay with the general all alone..."

I say the ending in a funny voice.

"Say that, you want to learn more about how to teach the students. Because one day you might want to be a. Instructor. I can be your guide. Tell him that."

"Fine. I'll ask."

My dad returns from his phone call.

"Who was on the phone dad?"    Be doesn't look happy anymore.

"I need to get back. My company is falling apart without me. Will that be all General? Everything looks great."

"Yes, sir."   Carter quickly looks at me. It's my time.

"Dad, do you think I could stay? I didn't finish school, so I could come back. I'll be safe. The general can watch over me. Please dad?"

I wait for his response. Hoping that hell let me.

"Are you sure you want to be back here? I thought you didn't like it here."

"I'm ready to give it a second chance. I'll do my best."

He looks like he's thinking.

"You can come home whenever you want. Do you understand?"

"Yes daddy!" I give him a big hug.

"I'll send your clothes and other stuff back. You'll be getting the best room here. I'll miss you darling."

"I'll miss you to. Thanks."

My dad says goodbye to everyone, then exits the building. We used to be mad at each other, bug at Hawaii we fixed that. Then it's only me and Carter. He looks sexy.

He walks up to me and puts his hands in my hands. We look at each other for a little bit.

"Please give me a chance. I know you could get someone probably better than me, but I still want a chance at getting you."

"Of course you can, Carter."  

I give him a quick kiss on the cheek and smile at him.

When I look at him, I feel happy. I feel like I can have a future with him.
