Chapter 6

So Camila Bryant isn't my real mother, I've got that. she doesn't know I am aware but after everything I still consider her my mother. I don't think I'm ready to tell my friends about it so I'm just going to act normal.

Hovan picked me up from home so we went to school together. My phone began to ring and it was Jeff but I ignored his call.
"Who was calling?" Hovan asked
"Uh- just an unknown caller" I responded
"Okay cool"

When got to school, I went to the girls locker room and called Jeff.
"Hermie" he said with a hoarse voice
"Uh... Jeff, are you okay?" I asked, a little worried
" Hermie I am, but- uhh- i want a- a favor" he said stammering
"What is it?"
"NO... NO... NO... nevermind" he ranted
" Jeffrey wait, wh...? "
He hang up on me.

I went to class hoping he would be there and that after the class we would be able to have a real conversation, but he was a no-show. I'm disturbed, I'm really really disturbed. What if he is dying? What if has had some tragic accident?
No! I can't just sit and do nothing. I told Betty to call her driver to come to the school no questions asked. She packed up her stuff since I was doing same and followed me out of class. Hey driver got to the school a few minutes later and we sat in.

I directed him to Jeff's house. Betty kept asking questions but I ignored them all and told her to wait. When we got to his house,I ran in without talking to the guards but they didn't follow me because he had been there with me before and they probably think I'm his girlfriend. But Betty was stopped outside, I asked for his room but when I went there, there was no one inside. He wasn't there.

Tears began to roll down. I checked all the other rooms but it was to no avail. I went out of the house crying. Betty sat me down in the car and I explained it all to her.
"Wait, take us to Domino's" I ordered
"Why?" Betty asked with a questioning look
"He has to be there"

When we got to Domino's, I walked in and looked around. There he was, looking sad but nice. I walked to his booth, he stood up to hug me immediately he saw me. He kissed me and I kissed back.
"What are you doing here?" He asked
"Well you weren't home so I figured you would be here"
"You went to my house?"
" Yeah I did, what happened to you?"
" Don't worry, I'll explain later but for now it's sorted" he responded but I had doubts.

Betty called me and I went to her
" You guys just kissed" she said
"Uhh...."
"Don't worry I got you" she said and hugged me.
" Betty I don't believe everything is okay with him"
" For now, just give him the benefit of the doubt"
" Okay" I said and sighed.

she went back to school but I stayed with him and went with him to his house. We went to his room and I took a shower.
RELAX, I took a shower and alone.I wore one of his black t-shirts over my bra and pantie.it was really big and the little long on my body but I liked it. We watched Netflix movies, ate ice cream and some other junk but it was great.

It was 4:00pm when I got home. Dad called me to his study and I already know why. I entered and sat down.
"Hermione...Are you okay? He asked rather calmly
" Yeah I am"
" You don't need to pretend around me, I know you are hurt"
" Dad, I'm hurt but I'm coping so don't worry" I assured him
" But I want to know more about my mom" I said as tears filled my eyes
" Don't worry, I will tell you all about her"
We hugged and I left his study.I don't know why but I get the feeling he thinks I'm not okay because of how dramatic my exit from school was.

I went to my room and was comfortably relax in bed when I heard a knock on the door of my balcony. I open the door and Hovan was standing there holding a rose flower. He gave it to me and kissed me after I let him in.
"I love you" he said smiling
"I love you too" I responded
"Goodnight babe" he said and kissed me
" Wait so you came all this way just to say this!" I asked
" Yeah"
