Winter is coming

Everything feels as if life would just cave in and turn into a black abyss. The swirling deep gray clouds marching over to take down the light. The cold brisk air that was once bearable was now intolerable.

It's been 2 months since my last visit to King's Landing. And unexpectedly it's been almost a month since Brandon's death.

After our fallout of decisions we were compromising on. He decided to check the wall with a few men after reports of suspicious activity. After 1 week, the only thing to be found of Brandon was a decapitated head. The North fell with agony over the loss of our Brandon.

Regret filled my chest after the lack of attention and time I tried to put into our love. I really did try but my love for Brandon wouldn't suffice with what he wanted.

Cregan has found this the most difficult. It was his brother he lost. The person he wholeheartedly trusted. Now I watch him act the part of a strong Lord of the North as he stays intact for us after this gloom moment. Even if I didn't have a strong connection with Brandon, I did my best with supporting Cregan in these tough times as he did for me. Our bond became prominent and strong as I held him in the night weeping to get him back, to get his brother back.

I enter Cregan's sleeping chambers before I prepare to leave for King's Landing to meet the rest of my family and to show my support for my little brother Lucery's.

"Rea" Cregan whispers as he takes in my presence.

I take a look at the madness around the room. "Oh don't look around and judge me" he notices the sight I'm taking and lets out a chuckle.

"Oh no. I think it is quite lovely with what you have done with the space." I respond and take a seat on one of his seats.

"Are you ready?" He takes a seat right next to me and places a hand over my own.

I take a deep breath and stare into an empty space and answer "I like to think that I am." I look at him and give him a comforting smile letting him know that I'll be fine.

"I am always here for anything," he reminds me "You are the only family I have now and you have been nothing but great to me. I can't lose my sister too."

I lay my head on his shoulder and let it rest there. Being reminded that I am from the North now. And the North is my family as much as I am a Targaryen.

As I land on Kings Landing with Scorpius, I notice Caraxes and the other dragons are here too. I'm excited to see my family but I'm not ready for the chaos it might bring having all of us here. With the news of Lord Corlys Velaryons blood fever, the heir to Driftwood is challenged by his brother Vaemond Velaryon. I provide my appearance as support to my family and little brother Lucerys.

As I enter the entrance of the castle. I am greeted by Jace and Luce stepping foot out of the doors and noticing the sight of me. "Sister," Jace excitedly yelled as he and Luce hurried towards me.

"My boys," I welcome them in an embrace and notice the height they have grown into. "You guys are growing way too fast."

"We missed you Rea," Luce said as I ruffled his hair.

"I'm so sorry for your lost sister. Brandon was a great man to the North and to you." Jace mentions as I take in both my brothers' loving presence realizing they're not children anymore. Time has passed by so fast.

I place my hands on each of their shoulders making sure they're real and stare at them with love as I tell them "I'm just happy to finally see you guys again." Genuine smiles appear on their faces as the reunion between us siblings brings true joy in this difficult time for our family.
