~Kayna~

As the leader of even a Magical island, there was still a lot of work that went into maintaining it. One of the more important things, however, was making sure the other monsters got along and didn't cause an imbalance. Otherwise, the island would be a disaster with no one to rule its land. Monsters would be fighting for leadership. It would be anarchy.

The work, which was sometimes tedious, was never usually too cruel and allowed for a lot of downtime. During that time, I would read from one of the thousands of books I had, whether it was about the history of the Fire element or about the Cataclysm, more commonly known as the Dusk of Fire. Either that, or I would go around and talk to some of the other monsters about random topics.

After reviewing a report on the island's status, thanks to Noggin, I had decided to take a much-needed break and left my room. Cruising through the corridors, I looked around at the paintings and statues that have been in place for years. They all marked important events or people in the history of the monster world, from the Dawn of Fire to the present day. Many large discoveries are still being made, some of which I hoped to be a part of.

Some of the statues showed the different Celestials in their signature poses: Galvana holding her staff, Furnoss about to strike his drum, and so on. The paintings displayed different events in history as well, such as Copperzic and his group finding Cave Island and Pizzicato discovering the complex secret to Supernatural energy. I could hear voices, so I peeked into an adjacent hall to see the two monsters that I've wanted to speak to for a while.

"Thwok, Bona!" I greeted, walking towards them.

"Kayna, hi! Howh ahe you?" Thwok responded, happy to see me. Bona just waved.

"I'm doing fine. So, I have a question for you two."

"Weally? We hahve a quehshuh as whell!"

      "Okay, okay. On three?"

      "On thwee."

"One, two, three- Do you want to come on a voyage with me?/Cahn we go ohn a voyahge wihth you?" We both froze, not knowing what to say. I had not expected such willingness, and I was pretty sure that Thwok hadn't expected such an opportunity.

"Well, I'm going to assume that we all know the answer to this dilemma," Bona remarked, breaking the silence. I looked between the two monsters, the "Wublins" they dubbed themselves, and smiled.

"Great! I'll start mapping the course. Once the skyship is fixed, we can sail to our heart's desire!"

"Huh, thaht's pwehty fuhny consihduring we, I doh't knowh, fihxed the skyship a few mihnuhtes ago. Ona mahde it extla pwehty." I looked at Bona for confirmation, and he nodded.

"Wow! Well, I should go get-" A sudden thought occurred to me, so I shifted plates before I could forget about it. "Actually, could I speak to you two about something? Just need to gather a bit of information."

"Ohf couhrse!" Thwok looked up at Bona, who was eyeing me a bit.

"I'm...not, comfortable, at the moment. Maybe another time, but I'm gonna look for Petite and make sure she's alright." Bona waved bye to us and walked off.

I walked back through the grand halls of the castle, Thwok following close behind. In my mind, I marveled the idea of being able to finally figure out what was hidden within that dreaded storm. A lot was recorded about the Wubbox and Galvana, but there wasn't much about Wublin Island other than the fact that it exists and the fact that a storm surrounded it. Not much was known about the inhabitants!
