      "I got backup."

Upon the shrill cry of a sharp whistle, I promptly distanced myself from the large mechs awakening on the far side of the island. Being sure to keep Thwok tightly secured in my arms I watched as both the Wubbox and eventually the Hybrox of the island booted up and stood upright. The Wubbox, suitably named Earth, seemed to behave like any standard Wubbox aside from the visual changes consisting of construction tape and dull red rocks. I didn't have many problems or concerns with them.

My main worry, however, rested in the island's Hybrox. For starters, they easily towered over everything on the island—the castle included. Their booting-up sequence took a while as well, the constant crackles of energy and whirling of their drill for an arm unnerving me the more it progressed. As they stood upright they finally opened their eyes, their irises seemingly glossed over by some sort of buffer, before blinking a few times and drinking in their surroundings.

"Woah, uh, okay," she stampered, holding their head as she glanced around themselves. I felt uneasy with the awakening of the new monster, but as I glanced down at Thwok he seemed to be more intrigued with her than anything. "Um, what's going on?"

"Seems a quintcident had occured here," Earth pointed out as they eyed Kayna and the now quickly-agitated Drummidary. "Appears to be controlled, for the most part."

"Seems that way," the Hybrox replied, tilting their head at the Drummidary curiously. "How odd." I kept an eye on Earth and the Hybrox, glancing away for only a second to note Petite rushing over to my side. She must've caught the attention of Earth, either that or they darted their eyes towards us in complete coincidence. Their irises shrank, and I took another defensive step back.

"Terra, how well-calibrated is your database?"

"It seems to be up to date, why?" Earth gestured their head over to Thwok and I, and as we were put under a large blinding spotlight Terra was quick to change her answer. "Okay, uh, scratch that it is not up to date, um, who are you?"

Initially I kept my jaw clenched, uncomfortable with the amount of attention centered around us, but I should've expected Petite's enthusiasm to overtake her logic. Climbing atop my head she proceeded to boast about who we were and where we came from, talking her head off like the chatterbox she was. I accepted defeat with a slight grumble, watching as both Earth and Terra studied the three of us as if we were Critters under a microscope. Their eyes clicked and twisted, earning an uncomfortable glance from myself and an intrigued look from Thwok, before Terra stood up straight and clasped their hands together.

"Oh, I'm so sorry to hear. I hope you all get home soon." She glanced around the island again, an uncertain hum buzzing in their core. "Speaking of, what happened here?"

"Not certain. Looks like my memory's bugged." Earth held their head, tapping it a few times, before Kayna finally spoke up.

"Okay, um, so I may or may not have something to do with that. Well, half of me technically, I—you know what, not important. What is important, however, might be the impending doom which is an incomingwarthatwillleadtotheendoftheworld." Kayna braced herself as she rushed the last part of her sentence, looking away in fear as both Earth and Terra stared at her in disbelief. A moment of silence passed, allowing the slightest wind to whisper to us, before Earth spoke.

"And precisely, how long, have we been powered off?" Kayna winced.

"Oh, I'd say roughly, 15, 20...years?" She shrugged nervously, flashing a worried smile as if that would save her, but it only unfroze Terra from their disbelief.
