Nothing had ever screamed danger to me more than seeing Pompom and Hoola on the bed in what was supposed to be our hotel room. Sure, they might've just been having fun and whatnot in our absence, but in my mind they were plotting and scheming something diabolical, something that couldn't be described. They were thinking of something evil, I thought as I felt myself tense up at the sight of them giggling. As Thwok walked further into the room, however, the idea slowly became more of a nuisance.

"Hiya, guys!" they cheered in a creepy sort of unison. Telepathy wasn't uncommon, I would know having experienced it first-hand, but it was still off-putting nonetheless.

"Hey," Thwok greeted as I closed the door behind us. "Whaht bwings you two heuh?"

"Oh, we got bored," Hoola explained while fidgeting with her hoop.

"Got Kay to look for something that, I'm pretty sure, doesn't exist," Pompom finished. "C'mon, take a seat! Don't be afraid!"

Feeling a sense of unease, I watched as Thwok happily walked over to the lone chair in the room and took a seat. Taking a moment to calm myself, I went to the chair and simply stood behind it. Using the top as an armrest, I glanced down at Thwok who laughed a little bit. I looked towards Pompom and Hoola, who were both giggling and whispering to each other. Tensing up once more, I could feel the uneasy feeling build up and creep over me.

      "Should we ask them, Pommy?"

      "Of course, Hoopsy. On three?"

      "Yippee!"

      "One-"

      "Two-"

"Three! Did you find anything on the skyship?" the two asked in the same unison as before. I glanced down at Thwok, unsure of how to answer, but he seemed to be more trusting of the couple than I would ever be.

"Whell, we fouhnd this." He revealed the turquoise prism that was gifted to Kayna, which caught the attention of both monsters. Hoola reached over and gently took the crystal into her hands, examining it.

"Oh, look at this!" she exclaimed while holding the prism up. "Pure translucent Aquanine! So pretty!"

"Iht also came with this," Thwok spoke as he handed the note to Hoola. She took a careful glance at the writing before whistling to Pompom.

"Take a look at that, Pommy! Secret admirer?"

"Maybe," Pompom replied as she read through the note herself. It took me a moment to realize that she had shifted the bands that were atop her head down to her wrist, pulling the fur on her hands back, which resulted in a large puff of fur forming on the back of her head in a puffy pink cloud.

"We...also found this," I spoke as I held up the pen with its note. Pompom looked up at me, and upon seeing the pen she gave the crystal's note to Hoola and held her hands up.

"Give!" she called out in an overly excited manner. Hesitantly, I attached the note to the pen and tossed it to Pompom.

Standing up, Pompom took a moment to examine the structure of the mechanized writing utensil. Pressing the lone button on the side, she threw her fist up as the pen transformed into the battle axe that had scared me back on the skyship. She spun the large weapon in her hand, turning the rigid shape into a blur of orange and silver. I gripped on to the back of the seat as Thwok and Hoola watched her in awe. Swinging her arm to her side, she held a vice grip on the handle of the axe as all became still. Her stature radiated a powerful aura, one that was almost intimidating.
