"Wednesday, I'm glad you decided to return to Nevermore!", Enid ranted on for what felt like the hundredth.

Suddenly, there was a light knock at the door. "I'll get it", Enid announced, making her way to the door. "Xavier", Enid said, surprised. "Is this a bad time?", Xavier asked politely. "Oh, not at all! Just don't let the dorm supervisor see you in here as it's 9:50. The dorms have to be quiet at 10:00 pm and only residents of the dorm allowed", Enid informed him, returning to her bed to read People magazines and giving Wednesday a knowing side eye. "Xavier. Perhaps you are here to frame me for a murder and have me taken off to the local prison? Not that I can say I would mind it. Enid can be unbearable at times", Wednesday said, turning her black desk chair around to face him. "I have something for you", he said, handing her a black box wrapped in a black ribbon. "Is it another phone? Because the one I have received already is enough hassle enough". "No, it's not a phone. Just open it", he encouraged, giving her his puppy eyes. Wednesday felt her black heart drop into the pit of her stomach. It was as if she wanted to open this, not only for herself, but for Xavier as she looked deeply into his light olive colored eyes. His eyes couldn't be placed in a societal box. They had some brown surrounding the pupils but they had olive in the middle.  'Snap out of it', she said to herself her self, shaking that feeling off, almost feeling her heart of coal return to its place. "Thank you, Xavier", she said, not fully glairing at him. Enid saw the way Wednesday stared into his eyes for a split second, a huge knowing grin curling her lips. Wednesday untied the ribbon and opened the box to reveal a raven necklace. "Xavier...", she said, her eyes clued to the necklace. "You don't like it? That's ok, the receipt is in the bottom of the box. I bought it from a shop in town and I just thought it had your name written all over it", he explained. "It's beautiful", she said, mesmerized by the gift. It had a silver chain like a normal necklace, but the raven was black the only color visible to the naked eye was the white of the bird's eye. "Thank you", she said, the smallest smile appearing in the corners of her mouth. "So you like it? I'm glad", he said. "Could I put it on for you?", he asked, not in a threating way but in a desperate way. "Yes", she stated, pulling her hair out of the way. It was out of its usual two braids because it was nighttime and she didn't sleep with her braids. The hairs on the back of Xavier's neck stood up when Xavier brushed Wednesday's shoulder as he clipped the back together. "You'd better get going; it's 10:03", Wednesday said. "Knock, knock ladies, is everybody in bed?", the dorm supervisor said in her chirpy voice. "Yeah, were just snuggling in bed first", Enid responded, giving Wednesday an evil smile. This was returned by Wednesday giving her a glare that had daggers coming out of it. "Shall I check on you? Do you need anything?", she asked. "No, nothing at all", Enid said lightly, knowing that Wednesday means business. "Ok, goodnight, dears!", she said, her heels clicking loudly and rhymical with each step. She then went on to check on the other rooms. "You can go out the window, quick", Wednesday said, opening the glass flap in the window. "Bye, Wednesday", Xavier whispered, disappearing into the night. "Wait, your sweatshirt!", Wednesday yelled. "Keep it!", she heard Xavier yell back. "Someone's got a crush, someone's got a crush", Enid sang, hopping back onto her magazine covered bed. "If you say that one more time I will have each person on those magazines murdered right before your very eyes. And, no, I don't like Xavier. Were just friends", Wednesday said, glairing firmly at Enid. "But friends don't know the way you taste, la la la", Enid sang, forcing Wednesday to walk beside her bed and threaten her. "Ok, ok, I'll stop. But, the sweatshirt", Enid said, laughing at how seriously Wednesday took this. "I saw you smile", Enid said. "If you mention this to anybody I will peel your skin off, one strand at a time". She obviously meant business. "Night Wednesday", Enid said. Wednesday didn't respond, she was too lost in her thoughts. About Xavier.
