When Cora got home with Charles, Alfie was surprised. Shocked really but Cora smiled back at him as sweet as can be.

"Charles this is Alfie. And this handsome fuzzy butt is Cyril." Cora introduced as she put charles bag down by her feet. Charles waved at Cyril before Cyril licked his face. Charles lips set in a deep frown at her looked to Cora completely petrified.

"Its okay. He gave kisses. See kiss." Cora tapped her cheek and cyril slobbered her face as well. "Im okay. You are okay. Just a kiss."

"Kiss." Charles agreed his smile coming back.

"Do I get a kiss too?" Alfie pondered.

"Charles can you say hello to Alfie?" Cora questioned before kissing alfie. She kept an arm around Alfie as Charles shyly hid his face in coras neck.

"You know you bringing home other men would normally bother me." Alfie admitted " but I think we will get along great."

"Thank you." Cora rasped kissing him again

That night after Cora set Charles up in a room and got him to bed she went downstairs to explain. Alfie waited patiently and silently as she settled in his arms, taking a long sip of his whiskey. He kissed her temple before she declared Tommy incompetent and useless which he already knew and that Charles was hers temporarily while Tommy sorted out his issues.

"That seems overly simplified." Alfie remarked as he took another sip of his drink.

"I love you." Cora declared. "I love you so much but CHarles... Okay you are going to love him. I promise." Cora assured. "Did I ever tell you that I have always wanted to be a mum? Because I have. Forever really."

"Charles likes you." Alfie remarked.

"He called me mama before and... I love him. He's nothing like his awful mother- rest in hell-" Cora muttered tapping a fist to her chest before pointing quickly to the ground, Alfie laughed out as his arms wrapped tighter around her. "He's got Tom's looks maybe but he is so precious. SO perfect. He's... He is perfect." Cora declared. "I understand if this is too much-" Alfie shook his head and Cora silenced as she stared back at him.

He didn't speak. He simply slid closer to her and placed his hand on her thigh again. God, she loved that feeling. He made her feel so weak at the simplest of touches. He leaned in to kiss her and she completely let all her defenses down, all worries and relaxed. Before he could kiss her, she swiftly stood up and repositioned herself on his lap. He leaned back on the couch as she straddled him. He pulled her face to his and kissed her passionately, possessively. His hands then left her face and settled on her hips, gripping them tight. He slowly started to grind his hips into her.

"He can stay." Alfie assured between kisses down her neck. "As long as I'm your favorite guy."

"Cyril-" Cora began teasingly. Alfie squeezed her ass as she bit her lip. "You are my favorite man. No one could replace you Alfie Solomons."

Charles liked Camden town. Charles liked Cyril. But Charles loved Cora.

Charles didnt really know what to think of Alfie though. Alfie did try and Cora loved him for that but Charles was Cora's boy.

"Mama, we fetch!" Charles declared throwing a ball for Cyril.

"He's going to lose all that weight the vet wanted if Charles is here." Alfie remarked as he came up behind Cora. Charles was throwing the ball, playing tug of war with old ropes, Cyril chased after Charles looking for food but as soon as Charles saw him he moved to Cyrils toys.

"Mama!" Charles declared running up to her blocking Alfie.

"Do I got some competition?" Alfie mused as Charles stood protectively in front of Cora.

"Take a seat lovey," Cora remarked as she ran a hand through Charles hair. "Breakfast is ready." Charles stared back at Alfie as the phone rang out.

"I got it." Alfie assured. "Have a talk with him please. Tell him you were mine first." he requested.

"I love Alfie." Cora remarked as she pushed Charles chair in. "I love you too, can my two favorite boys get along?"

"Da dont like him."  Charles corrected as he poked at his eggs.

"What?"

"No like Alfie." Charles recalled.

"What?" Cora repeated.

"So I no like-"

"No, your da is an idiot." Cora corrected. "And you can tell him I said that."

"I love you most." Charles assured her.

"I love you, but Da is an idiot and Alfie is great." Cora remarked as she poured some milk into a cup for charles.

"Cora." Alfie demanded holding up the phone.

"Who is it?" Cora questioned as she wiped her hands on her pants.

"The prison." Alfie remarked holding out the phone. Cora's eyes went wide as she took the phone.

"Hello?"

"I'm getting an appeal." Tommy assured.

"You threw them under the fucking train tom." Cora spat.

"I'm fixing it."

"And you came out unscathed. Wow. Your shit their problem." Cora hissed.

"I'm fixing it."

"The noose. THey are sentenced to die for your crimes." Cora reminded him.

"They wont. I protect my fa-"

"Dont you dare say family." Cora shouted giving him a shove. "They loved you and this is what you do to them?"

"How is CHarles?"

"He is... you knew. Was I going to be a part of your little kill shot too?" Cora pondered as she crossed her arms over her chest.

"No. Never." Tommy corrected.

"Really? After the shit I put you through. After all the hell you put me through, I wouldnt put it past you." Cora retorted.

"I would never hurt you like that." Tommy corrected and he held the words as he said them, saw her pinched face, the scoff that left her lips.

"Thats fucking rich coming from you." Cora sneered.

"Cora-"

"You did hurt me. You hurt me and hurt me again but I was never important, clearly. But your family. These people... they raised you and helped you and you tell the police everything they did under your command, they die and you get to live free. After all they did for you. Because of you." Cora declared.

"I'm sorry I hurt you." Tommy rasped.

"I dont care if you are sorry. You get them out because they dont deserve to die for being good people. Decent people. The dont deserve to die for loving you like idiots."
