'What do you see in him?' Alfie questioned

'Alfred,' cora said through an exasperated breath.

'No I'm serious.' Alfie told her.

'I had the boss. The man that everyone wanted.' Cora reminded him. 'I don't want to go through that again. I loved tommy with my whole heart and he only gave me a portion of his,' cora informed him. 'Because everything else was more important than me. My life become the shelby family and the shelby company. I don't want to do that again.'

'I understand that.' Alfie told her. 'I'm sorry he treated you like that.'

"Don't be heart break looks good on me, don't you think?' Cora mused.

"mmm,' Alfie hummed looking her over.

'You don't think I want you to rip my dress of here and now and take me on the desk?' Cora countered. 'Because I do. The moment I first saw you.' Alfie licked at his suddenly very dry lips. 'You don't think I want to know what your dick feels like inside me?' She questioned with a grin. 'What your beard would feel like trailing along my thighs,' she trailed a hand up her leg and alfie's pants started getting tighter. 'What that attitude filled tongue of your could do against my clit?' He nodded liking where this was going.

'I would love to find out if you taste as fucking delicious as you look.' Alfie confirmed.

'But I don't want a relationship.' Cora told him.

'Ollie was your rebound. I get that.' Alfie said but he didn't understand why she would pick Ollie of all people still. 'But I don't think Ollie knows that.'

'I told him that from the start. I'm not willing to give up my freedom for a man again.' Cora told him she moved slowly seductively so a hand trailing along his thigh she felt his hardened member under her hand she gave him a squeeze. 'Besides I would break your heart.' Cora whispered in his ear letting him go and stepping back to the other side of the desk.

'do you I would break yours?' Alfie questioned honestly. He wouldn't. He would cherish her.

'Can't break what's already broken.' Cora told him heading out. Alfie leaned back in his chair letting out a deep sigh.

'Cora wait,' Alfie said grabbing her hand. "let me walk you out.' She nodded and he let go of her hand.

After being mugged by sabinis men and fleeing from the hospital long before medically necessary tommy had made his way to camden town to meet Alfie Solomons. Tommy had heard some interesting things about Alfie and he was intrigued to see if any of them were true. Tommy pulled the door open only to be greeted with a confused man.

''Thomas Shelby,' Tommy said. 'I have an appointment sort of with Mr. Solomons.' Ollie looked him over. So this was the ex. He looked like shit and that made Ollie smile just the slightest but he knew Cora was upstairs, he didn't want Cora to see Tommy all broken and bruised and run to his side... he didn't think she would, she hated them, most of the time. Tommy had almost gotten her killed by Sabini's men. Perhaps Cora would kill him, Ollie wanted to, he saw the scar the stitches, the long cut, deep down nicked the ribs. 'Well you letting me in or not?' Tommy barked at Ollie.

'You don't look too good.' ollie remarked looking him over.

'Yeah well I have had a rough few days. Am I meeting mr solomons or not?' Ollie looked tommy over, before patting down tommy for weapons.

'Tommy?" Cora questioned running ahead.

'Put him down ollie he's only little.' Alfie said, ollie obediently listened taking a step back, his eyes watched Cora as intently as Alfie.  'You must be mr shelby' Alfie limped towards him yet he stood tall and intimidating.

'That's right,' tommy said, distracted. 'Cora I have been calling and calling, why the fuck didn't you pick up?" Tommy shouted.

'No I called you, John said you were in hospital. I call him just yesterday.' Cora told him.

'Why didn't you answer my calls?" Tommy questioned.

'I'm sorry,' she said sarcastically, 'I wasn't waiting by the phone, I had shit to do! Shit that didn't involve you!'

'Our little Cora got quite the cut,' Alfie said a gentle hand grazing along her side. Tommy pulled her to him.

"I was so worried, Ada would barely speak to me.' Tommy told her.

"Ada is fine, a bit shaken but fine. I got her a gun, one for her purse.' Cora told him.

"You think Ada with a gun is the smartest idea?" Tommy countered.

"Better than getting mugged again by Sabini's men.' Cora shouted back.

'I told you both it was about to be a bad time to be a Shelby in London.' Tommy reminded her.

'Oh fuck off.' Cora muttered. "I'm fine.' She sneered and Tommy's hand moved to her waist she cringed at the pain.

'They got you bad, huh?'  Tommy questioned lifting her shift. 'Fuck, Cora...' he muttered.

'Nothing I can't handle.' Cora told him softly and he pressed a kiss to her forehead and how she hated how much she enjoyed it. She took a step back. Tommy was still reaching out for her.

'You should be at the hospital.' Cora told him.

"I needed to make sure you were alright.' Tommy told her and Cora let out a deep breath, sometimes he dug his way into her broken heart so easily but she figured he wormed his way in because he was the one that broke it. She read once that only the person that broke your heart has the power to fix it. But another poet wrote that true love mends the heart. Another wrote getting over someone requires getting under someone else. The latter didn't work, but Cora wasn't ready for love again.
