Chapter Four

At the Institute

Piper just woke up and was on her way to the kitchen. When Izzy passed her and told her to go to the ops centre. She went to eat something first. Reaching the room she saw everyone waiting for her.

"How are you late? I told you first to come here"said Izzy "Well, I was hungry so I went to the kitchen. I thought that you wouldn't like hungry"answers Piper sitting down "She's right. It's better for her to be late that hungry"says Alec "All right. What are we doing here?"asks Piper "We know who took my memories"says Clary "Who?"asks Piper "Magnus Bane. He's over 300 years old. And, as you can see, he's not exactly shied away from the pleasure of every century. His tastes are both exquisite and quite excessive"says Hodge

Hodge shows pictures of Magnus on the screen.

"He looks like the Downworld's David Guetta"says Clary "He's already a Downworlder. Vampire? Ever seen him in the daylight?"says Izzy "Can you two focus? This is no joke"says Alec "Someone needs to get slayed"comments Piper "Alec's right. Now, Magnus is one of the most powerful warlocks I've ever known. He has a deep mistrust of Shadowhunters"says Hodge "Most"butts in Piper "Well, then why did he help my mom remove my memories? Isn't she a Shadowhunter?"asks Clary "Yes, one of the best. But 'help, might not be the most accurate word. Now, did Magnus provide a service for Jocelyn? Perhaps. But more than likely, your mother paid Magnus handsomely for his magic"says Hodge "Wielicka usually require payment before that help anyone with anything"says Jace "Word from the Clave is that most of the Wielicka have gone into hiding since Valentine began hunting them"says Alec "So how do we find Magnus?"asks Clary "We don't. Magnus finds us. Well set up a meeting, somewhere protected. Lure him out of hiding"says Jace "And I know exactly where we do it"says Piper

She walks to Hodge and takes his tablet and shows an invite to a Downworld rave.

"A Downworld rave. Nice, Piper"comments Jace "And where'd you get that?"asks Alec "You forget that I'm friends with Magnus, big brother"says Piper "Hell never go for it. Not with Valentine trying to kill him"says Alec "Trust me, he will. Especially when I ask him. He won't say no to me"says Piper "Come with me"says Hodge

The six of them walk to the training room. Hodge draws a rune on the floor and he takes out a necklace. He says that they can use this as a payment for him.

"I'll sent Magnus a fire massage to rearrange a meeting. We have to get to him before Valentine does. I can't loose him"says Piper

Piper walks out to her room.

Later

Piper and Izzy were in Izzy's room getting ready. Piper was wearing grey tight dress.

"I like this one"said Piper "Yeah, me too. You definitely are going in this one"

Clary walked in the room. Piper sits down on the bed.

"Jace said you wanted to see me?"asks Clary "That's right. What are you wearing to the Downworlder party tonight?"says Izzy "I don't know. I was thinking about wearing this"says Clary motioning at her clothes "That won't work with Izzy"says Piper "She's right. No Downworlder would be caught dead in that. Plus, it's a party, not a poetry slam"says Izzy "Well, I don't really have any party clothes with me, so..."trails off Clary "So you'll have to wear mine"says Izzy

Izzy gets a great from her closet.

"Okay, that dress is way too tight"says Clary seeing the dress "It's stretchy. Put it on"says Izzy "Ugh, fine"says Clary

Clary puts on the dress and walks out form behind the divider.

"You're so lucky to have such a flat chest. I can never wear that without a bra"says Izzy "Really?" "Really" "You do realize that she just said that you have small boobs, right?"says Piper "Wait, what?"asks Clary
