(THIS CHAPTER IS REALLY BORING, SORRY...)

I'd taken on a research full night, and what all I could get was... dragons existed in a few, if not many, of the mythologies around the world.

The question was, why do they have the same mythological creatures around the world if at that time there's no way to travel to islands and continents, until the Europeans, whom I thought has the only dragons in terms of mythology, started sailing in 1400s...

Needlessly to say, languages weren't created not a long ago and it formed a new question.

Besides this girl, were there any dragons around?

"Sumerian epics... to even Brazilian legend stories."

"12 chinese zodiac signs... Tiger, rabbit, ox, snake, horse, goat, rat, monkey, dog, pig, rooster..."

"...and dragon."

"Only one is a mythical creature out of 11 real creatures... why?"

"And even in the bible, they exists."

"Agh!!! This shit is confusing me!" I shouted as I slammed my head to the counter. I thought all of this wouldn't happen if it weren't for the half-human girl.

It was morning, and I had barely taken a sleep.

And it was hard to cook with these injuries, heck I wasn't even a homecook to begin with. I only knew how to make basic dishes.

Maybe I should just finish cooking breakfast and just order fast-food for lunch and dinner. It may be worse than my cooking in my condition right now but I'd bet the dragon girl wouldn't even complain.

2ND PERSON POV:

The girl yawned as she stretched her body, with her face scrunching. The sunlight gave an illumination through the entire room through the balcony hidden from plain sight as the white curtains were being blown by the wind.

She just had a great sleep if it wasn't from the fluffiness of the bed, and just the right temperature unlike back in the high mountains.

She was much more comfortable here.

She sat up, looking through the balcony behind those moving curtains. The wind was calm and peaceful, as if there was a lullaby to feel sleepy.

And there she was, started humming the melody of what her mother used to sing every night. She still remembered it despite all those struggles she experienced.

(The melody she's humming is from "Nuku nuku," ancient Finnish lullaby.)

This scenario just reminded her of that one memory.

That one sunny but windy afternoon, under the tree where she laid her head on her mother's lap, hearing nothing but her lullaby, the leaves, the field of tall grasses.

She was smiling as the humming continued, she remembered every detail at that moment.

She wanted to go back at that place.

Out of nowhere, there was a loud ringing noise from the alarm clock, she panicked and jumped out of the bed immediately. "Ah!"

She hid behind as she peeked at the source of the sound. There was a black rectangular box.
