Stark, Tully, Baratheon, Lannister, Martell, Tyrell, Arryn, and Targaryen. It took me months to figure out all eight houses and I never realized there were more than eight, I sighed to myself. Hightower, Cole, Velaryon, Strong, Royce, and Westrling. That was too many and it made my head ache, I thumped my head on the desk in front of me, the smell of books filled my nose.
House Stark, that is mine. I have a younger sister and older brother, Sara and Cregan. Cregan is on the night watch on the wall, my sister and me though, we are in protection of the Hightowers.
Well, that's what they say. I was with my sister before those filthy greens came and took, they left my dragon obviously and I've been a worse state without him. Grey Ghost was a lovely tiny dragon and now I can only feel him in my heart, so far from home.
My sister has enjoyed this treatment form the green but I havent, I long for freedom but I shall never get it. The door to the room i was staying suddenly opened and in came in maidens, I turned to look at them as they put an outfit on my bed.
"The Queen has requested you join them at dinner with your sister." One maiden said, fidgeting with her fingers, I held back a frown and nodded.
"Of course, ill be down in few." They left and I stood up to see a emerald green dress on the bed, I grumbled and put it on.
It slipped off my shoulders and hugged my waist. I turned to the mirror to let my hair fall onto my shoulders and down my back, the black strands tucked behind my ears. I wasn't really special to look at, dark blue eyes, pale skin that looked like snow.
I took a deep breath before stepping out the room, I had two guards behind as I walked towards the dinning room, I held my head high, my dignity was not yet gone and I wouldn't let it leave. They opened the doors and all eyes were on me.
"Princess Amara Stark of House Stark, daughter of Lord Rickon Stark and Lady Gilliane Glover, The Black Wolf of Stark and the future queen of the North!" A knight yelled, I walked towards and my seat which happened to be next to Aemond.
He was annoying, a stuck up, and had a huge ego cause of his eye, who cares if its gone. Not I. I sat down next to him and he smirked at me, I distracted myself by looking at my sister enter the room.
"Princess Sara Snow of House Stark, Bastard daughter of Lord Rickon Stark, Brown Wolf of Stark, and future heir to Winterfell!" I saw how excited she looked.
Sara was my half sister, a product of my father's affair. She has light grey eyes and brown hair, the dress she was wearing was also an emerald green, the sleeves were long with bigger openings. She sat down next to me as the Queen happily stood up.
"We are gather together to celebrate the upbringing of Amara and Sara. You both have been such an asset to us." Alicent Hightower said, I forced a smile as Sara happily clapped.
"Mother, may I speak?" Aemond said, his hand had been brushing up against my thigh and its irritating me.
"Of course! Go, go!"
"I would love to thank the Stark sisters for being on our team, especially the lovely Amara." I flushed at that and held back a growl. "If mother allows, I would love to wed Amara." I abruptly stood up.
"No! Never in seven hells, will I marry you!" Alicent stood up once more.
"Amara! You're being unreasonable right now! The marriage would be a good thing!" Alicent spoke, I groaned.
"Right, Aemond is a good match for you. You two will bring the Starks and Hightowers together. Isn't that right, Sara?" I whipped my head around to face my sister as she nodded.
"Come on! Aemond will treat you right, he is an exceptional man. Please, dear sister!" She looked at me pleading, I sighed and sat down.
"I...will consider the marriage. I...want to get know you more." I muttered, a smile spread out on Alicent's face as she clapped.
"Wonderful, I'll arrange a little date for the both of you!" Aemond sat down and grinned at me, I held the urge to punch him.
The dinner continued a little better before we headed back to our rooms, my sister walked with me to mine as she talked about the Hightowers in such a friendly matter. I groaned and shook her arm off me and stormed towards the door before she grabbed me.
"What in the seven hells is wrong with you?" She spoke, I scoffed.
"You seem so happy with them, aren't you? Are you not worried about our brother, your direwolf, my dragon?" I whispered-yelled at her, she sighed.
"Please, dear sister! They will not hurt us here, they are safe and protective! We are safe!" She exclaimed, I rolled my eyes opened the room door.
"You couldn't even defend me, huh. I guess we really aren't siblings."
I slammed the door in her face and fell to my knees, sobs wracked through my body. I tore off the green dress and threw it somewhere, I was now left lace nightgown. Why? Why is this happening to me? My sister is on their side, heavens knows where Cregan is.
A knock came at the door before Helaena stepped in, she was the only one I like. A sweet girl who spoke in dreams and riddles, long white hair flowed down her back as she beautiful violet eyes.
"You do not deserve this. I feel as if you belong with your family." She said as she stepped towards me and kneeled down, wiping my tears and cupping my face.
"I dream of a black wolf running, running towards the black spool, towards Rhaenyra. I dream of your freedom that will come, you will be free." She said.
I clung to those words like I cling to my mind, my freedom.
My family.
