"Mother! Mother! Look, I can ride my dragon now!" I shouted excitedly. Mother smiled at me with a sweet look but gulped when she saw me jump onto Grey Ghost, he lowly growled as I sat on him.
It was a funny sight to everyone else, a girl with no experience with dragons on one without a saddle. Father went to protest, holding a saddle in his hand but mother stopped him. I leaned down to Grey Ghost and rubbed his side before speaking quietly.
"Fly." The High Valryian had reached his ears as he batted his wings and ran before lifting himself up into the air. I laughed loudly as I held my arms out, balancing myself on his back.
The air was fresh in my face, the coldness hit my face and tinted my cheeks pink. My hair was everywhere in mess as I sighed in relief at the sensation. But I felt myself falling, falling down. I looked to see nothing, just darkness, I panicked.
"Amara!"
"AMARA!"
"Amara!" I shot up with a yelp, frantically breathing, I turned to see Helaena next to me, she looked confused and reached for my face.
"The dreams haunt you, don't they." I saw a tear on her finger before wiping my eyes, tears, wetness. I sniffled.
"Twas a memory from my childhood. When I first rode Grey Ghost, no saddle despite my father's concerns. I had burn marks on my hands for days but they didn't leave any pain." I spoke, a slight tremor to my voice.
"Mother wants you to dress nice, our other family is coming over with father. Obviously wear green, but whatever dress you want." Helaena said with a smile before quietly walking back to her room.
I sat in bed a little bit before looking at the dress option laid out for me, I sighed but the color was obvious. One dress caught my eye though, it was beautiful sleeveless dress while the middle was connected to a little collar that was black. I loved it but it would look better in black.
I tugged on the dress and decided to leave my hair down, I placed the sapphire necklace around my neck and took a deep breath. I walked out and walked with the guards to the main room where dinner will be held. I held my head high, chest out, strutting towards the big doors as they opened.
"Princess Amara Stark of House Stark, daughter of Lord Rickon Stark and Lady Gilliane Glover, The Black Wolf of Stark and the future queen of the North!" I walked with dignity as I saw the other family members to the greens.
I took my seat next to Aemond as he just grinned at me, I caught the eye of two silvered hair people, a man and a woman. The woman had violet eyes and twi braids on the sides of her long, silver hair. The man looked similar just with medium length hair, he was staring directly at me and I flushed.
"Princess Sara Snow of House Stark, Bastard daughter of Lord Rickon Stark, Brown Wolf of Stark and the future heir of Winterfell!" My sister walked in with her hair curled, she was wearing a short sleeved dress with a flower bottom.
"I didn't realize you had guest, Your Grace. Apologies for intruding." The silver man spoke, there was a slight anger to his tone.
"Nonsense, Prince Daemon. It is quite fine." Alicent responded. "Sara, Amara, this is Princess Rhaenyra and Prince Daemon Targaryen, along with their children Lucerys Velaryon, Jacerys Velaryon, Rhaena Velaryon, and Baela Velaryon." Alicent introduced, Sara waved.
"Its a pleasure to meet you both, princesses." Rhaenyra said, she was staring directly at me as she spoke, I nodded and hid my face.
"Let us eat, come now." We all sat down and started to feast, I kept sneaking glance at the couple, they looked majestic together. Aemond looked very distressed at the fact I was watching them and not him.
"I would love to give a toast to my nephews, Jacerys and Lucerys." Aemond abruptly stood up, I looked up with red tinted lips and saw Rhaenyra stare at them, licking her own.
"My lovely nephews, both handsome, smart, and strong." Jace suddenly stood and slammed his fist onto the table.
"You will watch your tongue, we are not bastards, you need to get over yourself!" Jacerys said, I looked at Aegon getting up as well as Lucerys stood.
"Stop it, both of you! We have guest and you both will watch your tone!" Alicent shouted, Jace was not having any of it, I dont blame him.
"Come now, I was just complimenting the Strong brothers." Lucerys got up this time but Aegon had slammed him into a table as Jacerys ran towards Aemond and punched him with every once in his body.
I backed up out of my chair and felt hands on my shoulders, I turned to see Daemon behind me as he grinned, those sharp teeth staring back at me. He stepped in front of me as Aemond went to push Jacerys back and stopped them.
"Calm down, nephew. This bickering must stop, its a family dinner that is now ruined." Daemon spoke, his voice laced with vemon as he checked over Luke.
"Well, we must be going now. I think its time. It was lovely meeting you girls, Sara, Amara." Rhaenyra's eyes lingered on me for a few moments before turning and walked out the door, ignoring Alicent behind her.
I fidgeted with my dress as Aemond sighed, I held my hand out as he took and left the room. We walked to the garden to look at the stars, the moon shined down on us as we bathed in it. I sat on the grass as he sat next to me, he laid his head in lap as I froze, carefully running my fingers through the strands of his hair.
"One day, I'll get my revenge, I'll take Vhagar and get rid of that runt dragon and his rider, Arrax and Lucerys. I swear on it." I paled at the words, he stood and left me sitting there.
I process for a moment before realizing what he meant.
He wants them dead.
He's going to kill them both and start a war.
