When you have a nightmare

"Where am I?" I looked around, I was in my old childhood room.

The place was a mess and everything looked torn into shreds and broken. "Useless" I hear a voice behind me. I knew that voice...

I looked up and saw my now ex-boyfriend B/n. He wasn't the best boyfriend... correction- the worst.

When we first met, he seemed to be the perfect guy, kind, sweet and loving. But hell that changed within a few weeks of us dating. He would constantly bring me down, yell at me and even nearly hit me. He became distant and didn't care about how I felt.

He called me 'useless' or 'worthless' a bunch of times.

I stood up and looked straight towards him. "You're just as useless as you've always been" he said, slowly walking towards me. "N-no!, I'm not!" I screamed back.

He laughed before a hand grabbed my arm. I saw a duplicate of him behind me. "Oh c'mon now, you know its the truth" he gripped my arm tighter.

I tried to get my arm out of his grasp but he didn't let go. "Worthless" I hear him say over and over again. "NO!" I shouted but to no avail, it only got louder and louder. Tears started to form in my eyes as I tried to get free from his grip.

"LEAVE ME ALONE!" I managed to get free from his grip but it resulted in me falling on my back then everything went dark.

End

"Y/n?!" I hear someone shouted my name. My eyes shoot open to see a worried Tanjiro looking over me. "Are you ok?!" the worried boy asked.

I sat up and wrapped my arms around the boy. He jumped by my sudden action but wrapped his arms around me.

"Hey hey, what happened?" he hugged me tighter. "I had a bad dream..about him again" I explained.

"Him?... wait.. you mean your ex?" Tanjiro questioned. I nodded.

"Don't worry, he is not gonna harm you again. Not while I'm here" he kissed me on the head. I slowly relaxed into his embrace as he held me.
