Aurora McKenna was ready for a fresh start-new city, new opportunities, and a full-ride scholarship to her dream university. Love wasn't part of the plan. But when she crosses paths with a captivating professor and her billionaire partner, she finds...
There's something so comforting about curling up in bed, music playing softly in the background, and escaping into a world of romance novels. It's my favorite way to unwind, especially after a busy day of classes and thoughts that seem to revolve around one person-Danielle.
My thoughts keep drifting to her, and it's hard to shake them. She's my professor, but there's something else... something more that I can't quite put my finger on. Standing at around 5'7", Danielle is every bit the definition of a strong, captivating woman. Her features, her presence-they all seem to pull me in, like a magnet that I can't resist.
There's a mystery about her too. She's Asian, possibly Korean, but with a distant Italian accent that keeps me guessing. I can't figure it out, but I love how it makes her even more intriguing.
She's got curves in all the right places, and I can't help but wonder-does she work out, or is she just naturally this stunning? Her dark brown hair is always so well-kept, and those eyes... they seem to pierce straight through me, making my heart skip every time our gazes meet.
God, I sound so dramatic. I try to shake the thought, but it lingers. Danielle isn't just anyone, she has a way of making everything feel different when she's around. Every glance, every word she says, it all seems to have some kind of pull on me. I can't even explain why. It's like she sees me, really sees me, and I can't help but want to understand why.
I didn't think much of it at first, but now, I realize-I'm definitely crushing on her. The way she looks at me, the way she speaks to me... it leaves me helpless in the best way.
Focus, Aurora, I remind myself. You barely know her, and you have a date with her tonight.
I don't really know her well yet, but I want to. I want to understand what is it about her that has me reacting the way I do, why my heart races whenever I see her.
That's why I agreed to this dinner. I'm nervous, sure, but also strangely excited. I keep hoping she feels the same way, that she's just as eager to get to know me as I am to know her.

Hours fly by as I lose myself in my book, but then my phone buzzes. It's a text from Danielle, and for some reason, it makes my heart race even more.
Unknown:
Hey Princess, it's Danielle!
I'll pick you up in an hour at the back of the school. You live in the dorms, right?
Me:
Hey Dani! Got it! Yes, and how did you get my number?
Unknown:
Dani huh? And it's a secret ;)
Me:
Sorry... Danielle.
Unknown:
No, I like Dani. I was just teasing you haha.
Me:
Oh.
Unknown:
You're so fun to mess with. Princess, is it okay if I bring someone? He keeps bugging me about wanting to tag along.
Me:
He? [A slight disappointment fills me. I was hoping it would just be the two of us...]
Unknown:
It's okay if you are not comfortable with that :D
Me:
Oh no, it's completely fine.
Unknown:
Great! Thanks, Princess! Ttyl! Bye.
Me:
Okay, bye. Take care!

I let out a sigh. "The more the merrier," I mutter to myself, even if it's not exactly what I had hoped for. But it's okay. I still get to spend time with her.
I head to my closet, deciding on a cute outfit. After a few minutes, I settle on cute mini white corset dress with heels-nothing too fancy but just enough to feel confident. [Refer to the image at the top]. I hope I look good. Wait, why am I stressing about this so much? It's just a dinner with my professor. Just... keep it cool, Aurora.
After I freshen up, I add light makeup-mascara, blush, eyeliner, and fake lashes-and pull my curls up into a ponytail. Maybe I should've left my curls down? No, I'll look fine. I look in the mirror, pleased with how everything came together. With ten minutes to spare, I lock my door and head out.
A black Tesla pulls up shortly after I get to the back of the school. I'm certain it's Danielle. She rolls down the window, and when she sees me, she gets out of the car.
Danielle looks incredible. She's dressed in a lace black crop top that gives off this chic, elegant vibe, paired with cream pants that are perfectly tailored but not tight. The soft lace top contrasts beautifully with the neutral cream color, making her look sophisticated yet effortlessly stylish. Her look is completed with a few delicate rings and a simple pendant necklace. Her hair is down, parted in the middle, and she greets me with that warm smile that always leaves me weak in the knees.
She looks so good. Like, too good. Oh, I hope I don't seem like a total mess next to her.
I tell myself not to be so hard on myself. It's not about competition-it's about getting to know her, and maybe... maybe this could be something more.
She's the most beautiful woman on earth.
Danielle pulls me into a hug. "Nice to see you again, princess. I hope you didn't wait long."
"No, I just got here," I reply, my voice a little shaky. I hug her back and smile. God, just breathe, Aurora. She's just a person.
"You look so cute," she says, stepping back and looking me over. Her words make my cheeks warm.
I turn away, trying to hide my blush. "You don't look so bad yourself, Dani."
"Thanks, Princess," she winks, and then takes my hand. "Ready to go?"
"As ready as I'll ever be," I reply, my blush deepening.
OMG, stop blushing at everything she says, I scold myself internally as she opens the door for me.
"Thanks," I say as I slide into the car. She follows, fastening her seatbelt, then reaches over to fasten mine, and that's when I hear another voice-a deep, sexy voice.
"All set?"
I freeze for a second. Who else is in the car?
