^ Aurora's Dorm Room

After arriving at the university, I went to the office and got everything I needed. Some senior students helped me carry my suitcases to my dorm. Surprisingly, the room is spacious-more than enough for me.

I'm especially happy that I don't have a roommate. I've always hated sharing, and I guess growing up as an only child contributed to that.

Once I unpacked my bags and put everything in order, I started decorating. I wanted to get everything done before resting.

By the time I finished, it was already 3:00 PM, so I decided to run to the store and grab some essentials. I picked up toiletries, snacks, sodas, fruits, instant noodles, canned food, and more.

I was relieved to find that my dorm came with a small refrigerator, very convenient. I also grabbed a few room decorations and stopped by the campus bookstore to get the books I needed.

Classes start in a week, so more and more students are coming every day. I'm an introvert, so I don't think I'll be making friends anytime soon.

By the time I was done with everything, it was already 6:00 PM. I grabbed dinner at the dining hall, then headed back to my dorm. After changing into my pajamas, I fell asleep almost instantly-I was exhausted.

The Next Day: Freshman Welcoming Ceremony

Tomorrow is the first day of classes, so today, we had a welcoming ceremony for all freshmen.

They went over the rules, expectations, and general university orientation information, officially welcoming us to Riverview University. As part of the ceremony, they handed out university badges to every student.

It was the most boring two hours of my life. A guy tried to talk to me during the event, but I brushed him off-I wasn't in the mood to socialize. My social battery was running out fast.

Now, I'm back in my dorm reading a novel since I have nothing better to do. These past few days have been about settling in, and I think I've done a good job so far.

I even gave myself a tour of the entire campus. (I had one before, during the holidays, but it was online since I couldn't visit in person.)

I am majoring in Psychology because I'm interested in learning about human behavior. This semester, my classes are Public Speaking, Statistics, Literature, Introduction to Psychology, and Biology.

I'm really looking forward to Introduction to Psychology since it's my major and the reason I'm here. I've always been fascinated by how people think and why they act the way they do. Literature should be interesting too-I love a good story, and analyzing texts doesn't seem too bad.

Public Speaking, on the other hand, makes me nervous. I hate being the center of attention, and the thought of talking in front of a whole class? Yeah, no thanks. But I know it's important, so I'll just have to deal with it.

Statistics is another one I'm unsure about. Math and I have never been the best of friends, but I know I'll need it for research in psychology, so I'll do my best. As for Biology, I don't mind it too much. It's not my favorite, but at least it's science, and some parts of it tie into psychology, so that makes it a little more interesting.

Tomorrow, I only have one class-Introduction to Psychology-from 8:30 AM to 11:00 AM. I'm not a morning person, but for some reason, I'm really looking forward to it.
