𝐎𝐡 𝐧𝐨. . . 𝐬𝐡𝐞 𝐡𝐚𝐝 𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐠𝐨𝐭𝐭𝐨𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐞𝐱𝐚𝐦𝐬 𝐥𝐢𝐤𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐰𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐟𝐮𝐥𝐥 𝐨𝐟 𝐟𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐧𝐝, 𝐰𝐞𝐥𝐥, 𝐛𝐥𝐨𝐨𝐝. The man with odd markings on his face had turned some ones arms into petals made out of blood.

She tried to calm down Shukaku while also trying to calm her own heartbeat. They had a new start. A clean slate. They couldn't blow this.

Who's to say that if she does, there's no new universe for her to hop into. What if this was it.

Shukaku I am begging you to calm down. I am sure you will get a chance to lash out at some point, but please I am begging you to be patient. I can not be alone anymore. I want this heartache to be gone for good.

"My, how unusual. Seems this poor mans arms have turned into flower petals." He spread his own arms like he was explaining a magic trick, "Now you see them, now you don't."

He had a smug grin and looked down on the now armless man, "You should be more careful when bumping into some one, and do apologize if you bump into some one."

"Oh great, that psychopath is back."

Gaara wasn't exactly tuned in at all, but she did step back from the group a bit while bargaining with a stubborn beast who was sealed inside of her. The outer layer of sand on her gourd was shifting around, but thankfully not gaining any attention.

"Oh, I almost forgot! Let's have a toast to friendship."

No way.

"Here's to new friends, and good fortune. You sure you don't want one little girl?"

She's heard people around her old village say that her stare made them really uncomfortable. Seems to still work just fine because he shrunk back from her as the other three finally got the idea that the juice was no good.

Good riddance

Are you calm?

I feel like a peach

. . . I do not follow

Oh my kami, the kids trying to get your attention, I'll translate just leave me alone for a bit.

"ra- Gaara!"

"hm"

"Oh, sorry the examiner is here and I think we have to try and keep up with him. Come on!"

She couldn't see the man, but Shukaku must have sensed him and translated for her.

The hunter exam may now begin-

"-One final word of caution. If your short on luck, ability, there is a sure chance you may end up with serious injury. Death is another distinct possibility. If you're willing to accept the risks involved, I'll ask you to follow me now."
