A song was playing on speakers on the background. I hope this person uses headphones. Not everyone in the office wants to hear Saint Claire songs.

It's been a month since the release of their latest single Red Flag. It's all over the internet, radios, and music channels. It was released on the same week as the band's cover feature for The Lead, adding to the hype. Their team did great plotting the timeline of all these interviews and promotions.

The band's also been through several numerous live performance and guesting. No wonder the song was warmly received by their fans as well as casual listeners.

I wouldn't say we didn't benefit from it. The latest issue featuring Saint Claire was sold out on the first week of release and we had to do a massive reprint because of the unprecedented number of fans collecting the magazine.

My cover feature was successful... but why can't I be at peace? Dahil ba ito sa ginawa kong kagagahan noong gabing 'yon kaya hindi ako matahimik?

I rested my head against the office desk, groaning, letting my newly blow-dried hair fall like curtains all over my face. Aside from my messy desk, I haven't made any improvement in my current article. Although I've written several articles in the past month and the response and website traffic has been good, lately I couldn't help but feel like I'm doing things half-ass.

With a sigh, I sat up straighter on the swivel chair before opening the Pinterest tab on my Macbook to check my inspo board for my fashion article. Going to Pinterest is like having a bubble bath after a long sweaty day. It just feels so refreshing for the mind.

Specially now na hindi na ako nagh-handle ng celebrity interviews tulad ng pinangako sa'kin ni Ms. Cee. Kahit panay ang pangungulit sa'kin because of the success of the cover feature, I'd rather stay away from that field.

While trying to pull my concentration back to the task like an intense tug-of-war, nabitawan kong muli ang tali nang marinig ang usapan ng mga kasama ko sa kabilang table.

"Napanood mo ba 'yong live interview ng Saint Claire kagabi?"

"Napanood ko sa Youtube. Red Flag was about Sancho's ex!"

"Di ba?" The statement was followed by their giggles. "There's no name involved pero dahil sa mga interview nila, alam na ng lahat kung tungkol kanino ang song."

"What a clutch you have if your ex still write songs about you!" Saka sila nagtawanan.

Mas lalo lang sumakit ang ulo ko sa narinig. My concentration was completely thrown out of the window. Resting my entire back against the swivel chair, I closed my eyes.

I don't want to assume that the song was related to me in any way. It's been what? 6 years since that damn time with Sancho? He must have had different ex-girlfriends within that span of years.

Pero tuwing naaalala ko ang nangyari a month ago... how we were both out of air because of the way he kissed me back so passionately-- wait, what the hell?!

Bigla akong napatayo, causing my officemates to cast surprised glances in my direction.

"You okay, Euls?"

"Anyone wants coffee?" I blurted out.

"Manlilibre ka?" nakangising tanong ni Mara sa katabi kong table.

Nag-buntong hininga ako. Great, mukhang mapapagastos pa ako.

In the end, I bought eight iced coffee for the staff present in the The Lead office. Thank God, the others were in field work. I shouldn't be acting this way in the first place. Two weeks ago, I impulse bought a mini Prada bag. This frustration is causing me money!
