ASTONIA'S POV: UNKNOWN LOCATION

I tossed the gun aside and rolled up my sleeves, sitting back on the chair, cross legged. My hands draped from my knees, my eyes feeling as heavy as ever. My eyes drifted to look back up at him, my body not moving an inch.

"Now what?" I asked, my voice throat dry from the lack of hydration, "I assume I've won the game," I could feel his sanity leaving his body, it's crazy how easy it is to drive him nuts.

"It appears so. I guess I'll just have to use a different method." He was charismatic, there is no denying that, but the way his eyes turned midnight black and his smile curled into a crazed grin, told me I should be terrified.

He gripped his hand around my neck, picking me up from the seat which ended up in my legs scraping on the floor while my hands tried to loosen his grip on me.

"Let- me- go!" I choked, slapping his hand and managing to kick his shin, but that didn't stop him from slamming me against the wall. He yanked the necklace off my neck and threw it onto the ground, smashing it into pieces.

"Now your little friend can't find you. Boo hoo," He cried out, the chip in pieces and obsidian scattered across the hard stone floor. I began to panic, hoping Jenna was already on her way somehow, and that she knew exactly where I was. In the meantime, I scanned the room for anything I could use. Nothing, as expected.

But what if he had something else on him other than the gun? I trailed my hand down his waist and to his belt which had a pocket dangling on it.

"Who said I needed her to find me?" I spluttered since his hands were still firmly gripped on my neck. I quickly flipped open the pocket and took whatever was inside it before the door burst open to reveal Jenna, who was armed with a gun of her own. I looked down at what I'd taken, impulsively sliding up a button to reveal the dagger, stabbing his torso which made him let out a groan. I took the opportunity to slide out of the position and rush out the door, Jenna making sure he couldn't run after the both of us.

"Looked like I interrupted something," She coughed out as we ran through the halls of the building.

"You didn't, actually. Great timing," I complimented, "But where the hell are we?"

"Where else? He did our job for us, what a douche."

"Huh." I grinned.

"Watch out!" Jenna beckoned me aside as bullets began to aim at our direction. She reached into her back pocket and pulled out a similar gun to hers, "Ever gotten into a gun fight before?"

"You're underestimating me. Ever seen me use a gun before?" I remarked, "Exactly, you haven't." I said, cutting her off and slipping out of her grasp. Two men were jogging down the hallway, rifles in hand with full on gear. One of them hurried the other to shoot at me, and so I took the opportunity to shoot them first, hitting both with one bullet to the chest. I beckoned Jenna out of her hiding spot, quietly scouting through the compound for Jenna's hole she'd created to enter in the first place.

"Did you really create a damn hole to get in here? I thought it would be more of 'disguise as a guard' kind of thing." I commented as we ran through the place, dodging bullets and shooting some in the process.

"I hate disguises, if you couldn't tell," At this point, guards swarmed behind us like a bee hive, ready to sting their prey. I took a glance behind us, but Jenna forced my head back in front, "It's him! Watch out!" A man stood on the other side of the hallway, extending his arm with a loaded gun. Bullets flew in the sky as we ducked and dodged.

"Frick!" I yelled after narrowly avoiding a bullet to the arm.

"You can swear! We're in a life or death situation!" Jenna scolded, clearly annoyed I wouldn't say the actual thing. I knocked into the wall beside me by accident and nearly bashed through it.

Bash through it.

"Talk later," I stated before pushing her into the wall beside me, embracing her so we would smash into it together. I expected us to fall out of the sky, so i whipped out the grappling gun from Jenna's right pocket and ejected it up into the air, but it turns out, we were just about to hit the ground.

"Astonia, you idiot!" She managed to yell before we flew up into the sky, the wall inches away from us, "Give me that, you little shit." She snarled, snatching the gun away from me and pushed the button that would stop the string from recoiling, which meant we were stuck halfway up the building.

"At least they're not shooting us anymore," I spoke too soon. They began to crawl out of the hole, shooting up at us, "Go, go, go!" I shouted, pushing her up to climb the walls using the string that held the grapple hook together. I looked down, the ground feeling like it was sinking beneath us. A bullet nearly went through my head, but I ducked down just in time, "Would you hurry up?" I urged, positioning my foot onto the wall and began to climb up while still dodging the bullets. These people have shitty aim.

Jenna managed to climb up to the very top of the building and onto the roof while I was on her tail. I panted as I rested my hands on the concrete borders of the roof to keep people from falling off and stayed there for a bit before another bullet rang into the air which made me scramble up onto the roof top. I sat with my eyes wide before letting out a huge sigh.

"That was a close one," Jenna laughed out.

"We could've died," I uttered out.

"That's the fun part, isn't it?" She scoffed. Just then, a huge gust of wind blew over our heads along with a loud turbine noise. I looked up at Jenna to see her smirking, her hands trailing over the tracker that was still hung around her neck. A sleek black helicopter flew behind her, a ladder dropping down and Gemma waving from the pilot's seat.

I let out a relieved sigh and grinned at Jenna, helping myself up and pulling myself up onto the ladder, Jenna underneath me. We settled into the helicopter and slid the door shut.

"Didn't know your useless ass could fly. Maybe you aren't so useless after all." Jenna remarked. I nudged her shoulder and looked at Gemma appreciatively, "What? It was a compliment."
