JENNA'S POV: KOTATION MUSEUM

"The drinks are on me," Mackenzie grinned, her smile lines so beautifully defined.

"There's no need fo-"

"Allow me to. Trust me, Jenna." The way my name slid off her tongue so elegantly sent shivers down my neck, making me nod almost too vigorously in compliance, "So, what are you doing here? Attending the bidding session with Mr. Wolfhard, I assume?" She asked, attempting small talk.

"Yeah, hoping to head home with a few things," I boasted, trying to seem rich and lavish.

"I like the confidence, but don't get too cocky. The business can be brutal sometimes." She chuckled, sliding onto the stool beside me.

"Yeah," I sheepishly grinned, my insides curling up into a spiral from embarrassment. I've never felt anything like this before; apart from a few encounters with Astonia.

Astonia.

Where are they?

I began to scan the place, trying to divert eye contact from the blonde. Unfortunately, I couldn't find the girl anywhere, and I could feel Mackenzie's eyes burning into the back of my head.

"What are you looking for? Mr. Wolfhard, perhaps? I heard he's super hot, but you should see his son," she remarked.

"I have seen his son, actually. At a party in Las Vegas," I lied, but it rolled out so naturally. Suddenly, a pair of hands clapped, heads whipped towards the stage. A man stood straight and tall; Mr. Lucius Wolfhard.

"May the bidding commence."

ASTONIA'S POV: KOTATION MUSEUM

I tapped my foot on the marble floor impatiently, having 6 artefacts already sold. Jenna still hadn't sent me a signal; and I started to worry. She'd been busy conversing with the blonde girl again, who sat right next to her. I could feel my jaw start to hurt from the amount of times I'd unconsciously clenched it, feeling uneasy.

"Hey, you alright?" Millie asked, getting out of position to talk to me.

"Yeah, yeah, I'm good," I assured, but she wasn't too convinced, "Just a bit bored, standing around and all that."

"I know, right?" She groaned, "I feel like my legs are going to snap off any second, it's been ages!" She expressed, pointing to her knobbly knees. I snickered, turning back to look at the artefact currently on display. It was a beautifully crystallised diadem, shining brightly in its case.
