Ooop this is a kinda short chapter

Red lights flashed around me. I heard sirens blaring around me. People whispering and shouting. I blinked. Suddenly, an image came into my presence. It was holding a knife. I couldn't scream, nothing came out of my mouth.. I couldn't open my eyes any more. I was ready for what was going to happen next. I accepted the fact.

I felt the pain curl around my body, making it a home. I still couldn't scream.

How long had I been asleep? Half an hour? Two hours? It looked slightly dark outside. I looked at my alarm clock. Nine p.m! What! I had been asleep all day. I went downstairs and my dad was there eating some crisps whilst watching a football match. I guess it wasn't going so well since he was scrolling on his phone.

"Hey dad," I whispered, I could barely speak.

He jumped, "Oh, Marie, are you feeling better.?"

I nodded and asked if I could have a snack. I was starving. He told me my mum had gone out to see a friend.

Pfft, he didn't know.

I logged onto my computer on the dining table whilst munching on my baguette. I put on my ear-phones and watched some videos. I heard a ping on my phone and fished it out of my pyjama pocket. I tapped the notification and it took me to my chat with Carlotta. She had typed, "Please can we call. I need help."

I called her.

She answered.

It took me a couple of seconds to register her face and her surroundings. It was dark, so she must've been outside. She was looking from side to side, obviously waiting for something or even, someone. She was behind some metal thing. I heard people calling her name and shouting. Then she looked at me and I saw her face, it was stained with tear lines. Hey eyes shone in the moon light and were filled to the brim with water. She had a fresh mark on her left cheek and was breathing really quickly.

I looked at my dad and ran upstairs to my room.

"Lotta!" It was all I could say before she burst into tears.

"Please just stay on the phone," She sobbed as she got up and ran to someone. I couldn't sense who to, but I knew she was running. I then decided to screen record our talk, just for future reasons.

I heard a woman speaking to her and comforting her. She nodded. Then Carlotta turned her head and screamed.

"DAD!"

She looked down at me and I asked what's going on. I was, yet again, cut off from someone else speaking to her. The voice sounded familiar and I knew who it was when I saw her running and silver droplets slowly running down her pale face. Suddenly, I had been thrown into a bag since now I just saw black and a sparkly pencil case. I looked up from my phone and checked my computer. It was getting late. I turned up the volume on my phone and listened harder to hear what she was saying. I heard sirens and Carlotta crying. I waited and waited. Ten minutes later, Carlotta unzipped her bag and fished me out. She mouthed the word "sorry" to me and I nodded.

"It's ok. Are you alright?" I was really concerned. I guess how she felt about me the day before.

"Yes. I'll explain another time. Please just stay on the call."

So I did. About half an hour later I heard my front door slam and my mum putting down bags.

She walked up to my room and came in.

"Hi Marie. It's time for bed."

"Please. No mum! There's a problem. It's Carlotta!"

"What is it?" She walked up to me and that's when Carlotta was explaining everything, How her dad abused her, said rude remarks to her like: "You fat" or "Dumb like you mother", even though Carlotta is the cleverest girl I know! She's most likely more smart than him.She started to cry more.
