chapter 3

Bakugo pov

After my first and second periods were over i walked alone to the cafeteria playing with the necklace around my neck while holding onto the hem of my new jersey tightly. As i walked i heard people whispering to each other about me i just started walking faster til i felt my arm being grabbed i turned around and came face to face with uraraka, she was on the girls volleyball team and she was terrifying to me, she had short brown hair that was always combed into a pixi bob.

I cleared my throat softly and spoke "y-yes..?" Uraraka released my arm and crossed hers "soo I heard you were walking with deku-kun this morning..why?" I immediately looked down as I spoke softly "w-well he saw me on the football field..a-and he-" I was then cut off by uraraka grabbing my necklace "did he give you this!?" I swallowed softly as she gripped the necklace harder and started tugging on it harshly "h-hey wait!-" but it was to late, she broke the necklace snapping the locket on the back of the necklace.

She held it in her hand before smiling and dropping it at her feet and kicked it into the middle of the hall where most people were walking "oopsie~" she then patted my head and walked away. While I began to tear up and ran into the middle of the hallway and searched for the necklace on my knees when I finally grabbed it and stood up staring at the dirty broken necklace and broke down and began crying.

I ran to the bathroom and sat in the corner and sobbed as I held the necklace close to my chest, a few minutes later the bathroom door opened and I looked up to see izuku I immediately stood up and tried to hide the necklace but he had already seen that I wasn't wearing it and pouted "did you not like it?" He asked softly.

I shook my head quickly and whimpered "no..I loved it..b-but" I sniffled and slowly handed him the tattered necklace "its broken.." izuku slowly grabbed the necklace and examined it "I can fix it..but what happened?" He asked softly and looked at me. "U-uraraka..s-she" I started crying again and izuku hugged me tightly and rubbed my back gently.

"Hey hey its ok..its not your fault she's had a crush on me since middle school but I've told her I'm gay which is why she has short hair now.." he said softly as I buried my face into his chest blushing deeply, the door opened again and I peeked over izuku's shoulder and saw kaminari who looked extremely worried as he walked over and placed a hand on both me and izuku's lower back.

Izuku separated from me and handed kaminari the necklace and explained to him why I was crying, kaminari nodded and pocketed the necklace "don't worry about fixing it izu I got it" izuku nodded "alright" they did a small hand shake while I watched confused "you guys are friends?" I asked quietly and they both looked at me and izuku nodded softly "we realized that we had something in common and decided to be friends".

I took that answer and didn't ask anything else and we all went to lunch and sat together I looked over and saw uraraka watching and I tried to move away from izuku and sit closer to kaminari but izuku noticed why and simply lifted me out of my seat and placed me on his lap and whispered in my ear "ignore her..I'll protect you" I blushed deeply and nodded softly.

Kaminari moved closer to us and placed his hand on my upper/inner thigh and whispered to me as well "we both will" he said softly and I nodded again "o-ok..".

After lunch I held both of kaminari and izuku's hand and walked to third period "hey..do you guys..maybe wanna come to my house after the game tonight?" I asked shyly and looked up at them "you can spend the night since it's the weekend tomorrow" kaminari and izuku looked at each other before nodding and looking down at me and speaking at the same time

"Sure we can darling "
