Yoongi coughed as he cleared his throat and looked away from Jin.

Wow!

He was the most handsome thing he'd ever seen. Probably in the world.

He was tall, a good few inches taller than the blonde, and had the most radiant face.

The boy standing in his bedroom had deep dark eyes that probed, black hair that revealed more of the beautiful face after being blow-dried back, thick, pink and very kissable looking lips, and the most flawless skin Yoongi had ever seen.

Shit. Jin was hot.

The younger boy turned to his bed instead, trying to distract himself from the otherworldly beauty. He shuddered to a stop when he looked at the neatly laid-out bed, complete with fresh linen bedding.

"Everything is clean or new. And it's yours to keep."

It had never been like this before. Never.

Someone made the bed without a wrinkle in the black covers, two large fluffy white pillows, and a selection of things across the top. Basic things that every kid should have had in their life.

The first thing Yoongi noticed was the black over-the-shoulder gym bag. It was a reasonable size and could fit everything he owned inside.

A relatively decent family gave him a bag once, a second-hand rucksack from one of the other kids, which did the job until he was moved on to the next family. That family wasn't so good, and they destroyed it within two weeks, alongside some of his other belongings.

Next to the bag was a new blue toothbrush, still in its plastic travel container, a tube of generic, high-strength toothpaste and a hairbrush.

There was soap, shampoo, conditioner, shower gel bottles, and a neatly folded towel.

"I put it all out in case you wanted to take a shower or something," Jin said as he sat back on his bed, casually watching the new blonde kid staring at the row of things like they were utterly alien to him.

"Thanks," Yoongi mumbled, carefully picking up the toothbrush case with one hand and snapping the lid a few times.

He had needed to replace his for a while now; the ends were frayed and looked like a dog had chewed them. So, maybe he would use this one just for a bit.

Placing it back on the bed, the blonde put his bag down and pulled out what little he had.

A few scraps of clothing, a couple of pairs of socks and underwear, his old toothbrush, a broken brush with most of the teeth missing and a bent, worn-out notebook.

That was everything.

Jin watched as the quiet boy fiddled with his things, stuffing them into the new gym bag, including the plastic sack which he could have discarded but chose not to.

The older boy felt a pang of guilt and remorse.

He knew what it felt like to arrive at somebody's door with everything he owned inside a plastic bag.

In that respect, he was luckier than this new kid and most of the other kids who came and went. Jin packed his bags twice; that was it.

Technically, he only packed once, seeing as he didn't pack the first time, but it was far less than most.

Yoongi was trying to keep himself busy; he didn't want to sit down and chat, and he didn't want to look into the dark eyes watching him because he knew what would happen. He'd start getting attached.

Jin was clearly nice enough if he laid all these things out, but that only led to future heartbreak and mistrust.

"Do you like video games?" The elder asked suddenly, as if he had not rehearsed the line with several other kids before Yoongi.
